Exactly where i am at. I'm not going off Kevin Davies word he won't get a testimonial. He clearly feels he has been treated wrong or he wouldn't be doing interviews with talksport. The club owes him, despite the millions he's earned. Its not his fault he was a premier league striker for the majority of his career with us. Sweep
the decision to not offer him a new contract is probably right but a player coach role could and should have been offered So your suggesting that he should be offered a new contract as a player coach? - has he got all his badges, is he a good coach? - presumably DF doesn't think so, or surely he would have offered him this type of contract. Davies himself said on the radio earlier that he wants to keep playing for another 2 years, if this is the case, maybe he didn't want a player/coach position.......if that's the case, then why should the club offer him such a contract? frank_spencer
How has KD been hurt in all this? during the international break he's had a chat with dougie about his future dougie has said he'll be off in the summer. It's not like Kev didn't know this was coming. Anyone would think Gartside has just announced to the press before telling Davies

Is there really hostility being shown to the player? I think most will agree that letting him go is the right thing to do, because as a player he's not really going to be good enough for us next season. The timing of the announcement is odd though, I don't know why it couldn't have waited until the end of the season. For what it's worth, I think he'll get his testimonial.........it'll be interesting to see how many turn up for it as well.

He was willing to take a big pay cut he's done his Uefa B he is well respected all around football he has been an unbelievable pro and a exceptional ambassador for BWFC he is the epitome of an old fashioned striker he can pass his wealth of experience on while still giving us 10-15 minutes at the end of a game if necessary there are no downsides to keeping him at the club except he's the last of our great team from the recent past and the current management team and Gartside and the disgusting cronies who run our club want him exorcised.
