snowball Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 They have told him he won't be getting a contract. He now has plenty of time to sort out a new club. Looks to me as if he wants to carry on playing and why should DF offer him a player coach role? He has his own guys around him, do you know if KD would make a good coach just based on the fact he played for 10 years. That's just emotional nonsense. Chances are that having KD around coaching would not be a good thing for the club and the last thing DF would want or need. It might have been announced today but KD has known for some time. Club have not done anything wrong at all from what has come to light so far. Quote
Casino Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 So your suggesting that he should be offered a new contract as a player coach? - has he got all his badges, is he a good coach? - presumably DF doesn't think so, or surely he would have offered him this type of contract. Davies himself said on the radio earlier that he wants to keep playing for another 2 years, if this is the case, maybe he didn't want a player/coach position.......if that's the case, then why should the club offer him such a contract? uefa b whatever that means - but, as you know, its largely irrelevant as he wants to play on and we don't want him as a player Quote
jules_darby Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) How has KD been hurt in all this? during the international break he's had a chat with dougie about his future dougie has said he'll be off in the summer. It's not like Kev didn't know this was coming. Anyone would think Gartside has just announced to the press before telling Davies Exactly Another excuse for Darkslime to get it in the neck perhaps? Mounts, why should he automatically be given a coaching role? He may be a shite coach for all we know. We can't afford "hangers on" no matter what great players they were for us. And how exactly does this "treatment" reflect anything to do with the fans? Anything at all? I loved SKD at his pomp but he's hardly had his future ripped from him nor his history with us forgotten And I'm sure none of the folk in the same camp as me are "anti-SKD" as such, more "pro-BWFC" Edited March 26, 2013 by jules_darby Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Cobblers What about super kev derailing our play off push on national radio to meet his own self interest Derailing the play off push don't make me laugh that's dead, maybe he was just being honest, and he was billed to come on the show before he knew he was not getting a contact, its simply shameful behaviour by the cronies. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Think you lot who think BWFC done nothing wrong will be in the very small minority, it stinks as does nearly everything this club has done for 5 years, that cunt Gartside wants twatting. Quote

Perhaps thats why the club released their statement so Davies didn't get em in hot water by letting the fact slip tonight on the radio Quote

onlyoneawalker Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) So it will be Davies fault when we dont make the play offs. Behave. Ok not literally but at very least its shifted the focus on to very negative issue kevin could of kept his gob shut but he went on national radio and basically said that club owes me a contract it's ridiculous behaviour from a senior pro not least our skipper its indefensible unless he comes out tomorrow or later and holds his hands up says he made a mistake while feeling sore about it I'm happy to move on - what he's done on the pitch is different class over years but that today has pissex me right off Edited March 26, 2013 by onlyoneawalker Quote

snowball Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Mounts I think you are letting your desire to have a go at the clubs hierarchy get in the way of reason. I am Kevin Davies biggest fan but it is time for him to move on. The player coach argument is nonsensical and you never wanted DF in the first place perhaps that's why you are so eager to write this season off. Quote
DazBob Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 a player coach role could and should have been offered So, we're now advocating 'jobs for the boys'?? I want the best people available for both the playing staff and the coaching staff. I don't want roles given out just for sentiment's sake. It seems though if you think we shouldn't hamstring the club by handing out contracts purely as a 'thank you' then you're a hater. Haters gotta though I s'pose... Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 bollocks unless they told emma last week and kevin today Toe the party line Casino cud not give a fuck, they shit on Youri, JJ, Jussi, campo et al, players who were well paid and who's time it was to leave but we should afford them the dignity and respect that there efforts deserved. Quote
no balls Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 So we give him a coaching role? Anybody know if he's any good? Next thing is everyone whining about jobs for the boys. And anyone abusing Garslime will be those who do that anyway. #fucksponges. Always sad to see a player go but I'm not going to feel too much for him because it's his birthday. I'm sure he'll be reet. Oh and another thing, going on talk sport wasn't right clever. Quote

Haters gotta though I s'pose... He might turn out to be a shit coach but is it not worth offering a 1 year coaching role to see if he can pass his undeniable experience on? What if he's a blinding coach who also just happens to be a loyal and proud BWFC man and gives us 25 years of coaching excellence is that not more desirable than this absolute fuck up. Quote

tomski Posted March 26, 2013 Author Posted March 26, 2013 I believe that thinking the club hasn't done much wrong isn't necessarily a pop at KD there is plenty of room for middle ground. Quote
