Drinking coffee clears out my insides, weight hasnt fluctuated by more than 3 or 4 pounds in ten years It will do over the next 10 - 20 years or so. Presumably you're about 34 now and your metabolism is about to change more dramatically than at any time since puberty! Reminds me of a song - 'When you're younger you can eat what you like, drink what you like, but still slip into your 26 inch waist trousers and zip them closed. Then you reach that age. 24 25. Your muscles give up, they wave a little white flag and without any warning at all you're suddenly a fat bastard.' Quote
jayjayoghani Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 diet is the answer, not a chemical. what works for others may not work for you pretty much all the gubbins (training&diet) suggested on this thread I've tried regarding getting rid of belly fat my diet is very clean. nothing processed, ever. best thing in the end for me is aloe vera juice, my food digestion isnt great so basically use trial & error Quote
Youri McAnespie Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Most of these supplements are 'snake oil' in my opinion, stuff readily sourced elsewhere for next to nowt, or already present in a healthy diet - they wouldn't be allowed to legally sell them otherwise. Like others have said, these 'fat burners' are basically stimulants/appetite suppressants. It sounds (again like someone else said) more like you've got borderline diabetic aspects, when you've trained try and refuel clean before the symptoms start - pint of skimmed milk and a couple of bananas or a pot of cottage cheese and the bananas. A bit of a contradiction, but keep some sweets handy just for an instant hit of sugar should you need it. Anewman makes a great point on losing fat/weight - cutting out all bread products works a treat, they put so much shite in bread these days to speed up then slow down processes. It's hard to stop but one way is don't buy any. If it isn't in the house (bread), and you're really hungry - you will find an alternative. We often make butties out of greed... Ryan makes the other point about training on an empty stomach before breakfast, that's how you burn fat, and you can refuel straight away knowing there is a calorie deficit. Quote
DazBob Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I don't envy you lard arses having to watch what you eat and having to make a conscious effort to excercise. I suppose I've always been quite lucky in that I've always been a streak of piss, not had to worry about putting weight and I've never had a huge appetite. I can easily go until 2pm without eating. Having said that, my midriff is expanding quicker than I want it to due to dirty beer. Quote

I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't do any drugs, I don't eat sweets chocolate or crisps anymore (no sugar in my diet), my one sin is that I have a single sugar in my brew... just can't do any cardio due to the afore mentioned issue.. Youri McAnespie Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 When you hit your mid-30s I'd recommend getting a heavybag set up somewhere. If there's a better daily exercise to be found (aside from the obvious) that's done and dusted within 19 minutes I've yet to find it... Quote

I remember quoting that to a skinny lad I worked with who ate and drank shitloads. He's knocking on 15 stone now and told me last time I saw him that Carter were right. Quote

Youri McAnespie Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) 19? Why 19 and not 20? 5x 3 minute 'rounds' and 1 minute breaks between them. Oh aye, if there's no-one else in the house, after you've done - you can run and jump on the 'ropes' and 'corners' (couch, armchairs, kitchen chairs) and salute your imaginary supporters in the crowd... Danny G Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) Up until my mid 20's I was always thin, too thin in fact however over the last 5 years I have slowly started to put it on around my gut. I signed up to the gym about 6 weeks ago and so far the novelty has not wore off and the gut it starting to reduce in size 20 mins weights ( I cannot lift much yet) 20 Mins running, I usually cover about 3.5k ish 20 mins on the rower, that is by far the hardest. Burn off more than you consume and you will lose weight, simples As mentioned above T5's is basicially phet and not very Good for you. Those who i know that have taken it, mainly wimmin, want to lose weight but cant be arsed going to the gym Edited August 1, 2013 by Danny G Quote
