Maybe... just maybe... Sam was the odd appointment out for a club of our size?   Sammy Lee - easy choice following Sam, but tried to change too much too quickly. Gartside removed him ASAP. Megson -

  • Freedman has never had a clue. Picks a totally different team each week and hopes for the best. Has brought in shit full backs and a terrible striker, can't wait to see the back of him.

  • yep   blind optimism has served me well so far   its hard to get suicidal about millionaires falling over.

Always good to meet folks off here

Superbok and JOLBWFC

Good to meet you too mate, and Howfan White. As always, the banter is the best part of the day out.

as mentioned, ngog missing didn't please me

more than that, it didn't surprise me

we could have been 2 up at half time

i'll not say we should have been, but we could've been

tis all i'm saying about the performance

worst thing is i'm now almost out for bournemouth

its just making me sad and that bloody video, not sure i feel comfortable with having owt in common with them

You can stop that talk right now

You can stop that talk right now

I agree.

Bournemouth is one not to be missed.

We have 19 booked on it now, I feel sorry for who is in the same hotel as us.

I do.

Especially if she is wandering around with a pillow.

We need 2 upfront..

we cant score as neither ngog or Beckford can do the role that SKD did, I don't understand why we are still playing this role..

The Davies tactic works.. IF (and its a big if) you have a team of attack minded players.. We don't.

The midfield need to solidify the field.. CYL isn't performing anywhere near where he should. I'm not a fan of eagles but he seems to be one of the only ones working..

the defence... where do I start.. Centre backs.. absolute dogshite.. Mills was an ex club captain, Wheater is ex under 21's Knight is Ex England but they don't seem to be a shadow of what they are capable of..

all these players have the potential and experience... so why isn't it working ??

That's down to Management...

Oh, and thanks to the fixture computer in having this fixture coincide with the Labour conference.

Always good sport to engage with the socialists!

There are too many players not performing for there not to be an issue with the system.

We didn't win once in pre season, and we have only won one game since in the league cup.

Dougie has a way he would like to play, but we don't seem to have the players to play the way he wants effectively.

He needs to start playing in a way that suits the personnel we have. Even if that's just the short term to get some points and confidence back.

Look at the teams near the top. Burnley, Leicester, QPR, all solid 442 teams.

100% correct but the footballing genius that is Douglas Freedman does not do 4-4-2.

what I don't understand..

Medo was to replace spearing this season..

why did dougie buy spearing..

Stinks of KneeJerk reaction similar to Coyle buying Sordell..

we only bought him once Holden got injured, again

not sure if it was to replace him or if the plan was to wait till the latter end of the summer to bring him in anyway

wouldn't say kneejerk though, am sure DF had wanted/been after him all summer, but maybe the board wouldn't sanction it till SH got cropped again

Wasn't everyone crying out for Coyle to stop playing 442 week in week out?

Now people want us to go back to it?

Ridiculous

Re Coyle wasn't playing 4-4-2 as Mears was the only right sided player!

Ridiculous

3-5-2 its the future

442 is history

Maybe but David NGog is never the man to play in a 451..

Ridiculous

It's not ridiculous Coyle had 1 holding midfielder fit in Coker we now have 2 players who can hold and were playing at lower levell against shit teams.

Maybe but David NGog is never the man to play in a 451..

and that's a fact

No, it's an opinion

I think he's our best man for the role.

Craig Davies would prob have a shout but I'm still not sure if he's actually any good

Agreed.

Ngog's main faults for me are based around his finishing. His hold up play is actually pretty solid.

Ngogs main fault is that he cant score in a brothel

and that he doesn't put himself in places to score often enough

he'd miss like
