tomski Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Who do we all consider rivals? We were discussing it earlier as lads from all over our catchment area(not just Bolton) and we think its where you are from other than dmbs. For me its Blackburn. Others Wigan, Bury etc ( or big E Tranmere) Quote
tomski Posted December 15, 2013 Author Posted December 15, 2013 See I hate them more than Wigan Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Rivals? We don't, we haven't got one. Now, teams we hate......... Other teams seem to hate us/consider us rivals. FOOK 'EM ALL, FOOK 'EM ALL...... Quote

MACCA Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Has to be Wigan. They are the only ones to really have a dislike for us and it's starting to turn into our real derby game. Munich's couldn't care less about us. Quote

gonzo Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Like Garrp says its where your from. I've never even met a Wigan fan in my life. Who can get their knickers in a twist about Bury? We will never play them in the league again. Hate Blackburn miles more, probably because they are closer to me and I know a few who are all thoroughly convinced they are a bigger club than us. I can't even be arsed talking about these fuckers ere. The Wigan thing could evolve for me mind...especially if things carry on like they did yesterday. Fuck it,lets make Wigan our rivals. Be like Boca Juniors v River Plate in a few years. Quote
EyesRight Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Fuck it,lets make Wigan our rivals. Be like Boca Juniors v River Plate in a few years. This. It was as moody as I've witnessed for a long time yesterday and their lot were game as fuck. Wouldn't surprise me if this is a bubble trip, or early KO in a few years if we keep playing in the same division. They have a young support and as they get older I can see it getting more intense. All true mate. I've been whinging for years about not having a proper derby and here are these rascals right under our nose. Quote
tomski Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) They do say oooh ah a lot though? Edited December 16, 2013 by tomski Quote
SatanGreavsie Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 I fucking hate Wolves and always will Quote
paulhanley Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 First tier of teams I dislike: United Second tier: Wigan, Blackburn, Blackpool, Third tier: Burnley, Preston, Bury Quote
Athywhite_Mike Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 I fucking hate Wigan. Even more so now after a mate of mine was nutted by one of the Cunts while walking to the ground. Quote
Guest JamesBond Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Rivals are surely your closest neighbours and the ones with more than 50 years of history. Tranmere is miles away Wigan have no history in the league before 1990. To me it is Bury, Rochdale, Blackburn, Man United, Man City, Preston - at a pinch, and Burnley. Stockport have never really done anything and have rarely troubled the Whites. Quote
Astley White Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 United for me, always will be. But soon as we are in a different league to them....now it's got to be Wigan. They really despise us so it may be time to return the sentiment now. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 They do say oooh ah a lot though?Brought it back from their trip to Belgium, I'm reliably informed. They'd have been better with chocolate. Quote
Guest JamesBond Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Rochdale? Give over. They are a close neighbour and the games in the early 70's were something to be seen. I forgot to mention Blackpool of course - loads of history there, Matthews final and all. Quote
tomski Posted December 16, 2013 Author Posted December 16, 2013 Brought it back from their trip to Belgium, I'm reliably informed. They'd have been better with chocolate. Aye, it was fucking annoying. Quote

SatanGreavsie Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Or Stella & syphilis. Wasn't that ITV's short lived follow up to the detective series Rosemary & Thyme ? Quote
Eddie Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 (edited) More to do with generation for me. Seen as I'm in my early 20's I can hardly remember us playing Bury so they're not on the radar for me. Wigan over the last 10 years have been around and I really do hate them now, not quite on a United level but they're definitely 2nd with Blackburn a close 3rd. Of the rest there's only really Blackpool that I consider a rival Edited December 16, 2013 by Eddie Quote

There always game against us I'd bet lot of their lads don't even watch Wigan and support other teams they've always had a tight knit little mob if you go for a scrap don't expect them laying down the welcome mat and they also pick there time and place to have a go their not stupid they know they can't take Bolton on full on but can cause trouble when numbers are even.
