Who do we all consider rivals? We were discussing it earlier as lads from all over our catchment area(not just Bolton) and we think its where you are from other than dmbs.

Rivals are surely your closest neighbours and the ones with more than 50 years of history. Tranmere is miles away  Wigan have no history in the league before 1990. To me it is Bury, Rochdale, Blackburn, Man United, Man City, Preston - at a pinch, and Burnley. Stockport have never really done anything and have rarely troubled the Whites.

Seen as I'm in my early 20's I can hardly remember us playing Bury so they're not on the radar for me.

 

Wigan over the last 10 years have been around and I really do hate them now, not quite on a United level but they're definitely 2nd with Blackburn a close 3rd.

 

Of the rest there's only really Blackpool that I consider a rival

There always game against us I'd bet lot of their lads don't even watch Wigan and support other teams they've always had a tight knit little mob if you go for a scrap don't expect them laying down the welcome mat and they also pick there time and place to have a go their not stupid they know they can't take Bolton on full on but can cause trouble when numbers are even.
