Site Supporter Winchester White Posted January 28, 2014 Site Supporter Share Posted January 28, 2014 Fuck mop, just seen the plans for the development of the former Loco Works. Its not really the land formerly known as the Loco Works, its fucking huge! Goes from the cop shop at Middlebrook right over to stinky bridge at the bottom of Crown lane. Reminds me of Buckshaw its that big.
no balls
It's fucking ridiculous. The road network can't cope currently & there's empty homes on the Middlebrook estate. I'm sure Mr Morris will do what's right though (rubs chin) Then again, I think anyone who wants to live in a real life Truman Show set wants their bumps feeling anyway. Smiffs
Its the new dual carriageway from the a666, over top end of horwich and rivvy to crown lane and the new m61 junction that impresses me.
Site Supporter Winchester White Posted January 28, 2014 Author Site Supporter Share Posted January 28, 2014 It would fucking need it Smiffs, the main routes through Horwich and Blackrod to the motorways are bad enough now. They are planning for 1700 houses, that is about 3000 cars and I know they have a few exits but that is gridlock at rush hour guaranteed. Site Supporter only1swanny Posted January 28, 2014 Site Supporter Share Posted January 28, 2014 Horwich has plenty of green, so plenty of space for more houses.. Every council needs to have a plan in place for new houses.. looks like Horwich was the best place for it,.

I see what you are saying Swanny but if the local roads cant cope with the amount of traffic now, what will it be like with an extra 3000 cars trying to get in and out of horwich? Not everyone leaves the same way. If they create a bypass which prevents the necessity to use Beehive roundabout, it will help. or just avoid Horwich at rush hour.. There'll be very few cars because they'll struggle to sell many of those houses, meaning they'll end up being rented out to Eastern Europeans, Asians and Somalis. MMW. Chorley New Road, H Town, 2020. Youri McAnespie
We're a 'gateway' town aren't we? We (or rather, Clifford and cohorts) get a kickback for every oppressed Romany type we re-settle in our fair town - to alleviate the pressure from our put-upon friends in the south and east... If what Daz is saying is true, then it should be applauded, Horwich has a proud tradition of welcoming minorities such as Greeks and Thais, and I'm sure that will continue with the new influx of Bulgarian and Romanian gypsies into the Parish.
