Went to school with a lad called Phil Nurse. (P Nurse). Worked with a man called Graham Kilner and his wife was called Val. I think its almost as good when the names are one letter out.

Much the same when a stage manager I knew was called Pin Dicks (not sure what it was short for?!) but she didn't realise why i looked shocked when she introduced herself. She'd never heard the term.

The despised Bears had a linebacker called Dick Buttkiss. (it was actually spelled Butkus but to Packer fans it was always Buttkiss).

I good mate of mine worked for Unilever. He once spent weeks scouring their email address book for funny names and printed out 2 A4 sheets of the best ones.

 

I think the time I read it (74 times) while I was proper stoned is the most laughing I've ever done.

 

There were loads of good uns like Becky Balls and Jan Titts and a few Dick Head and Jony Knob type ones but the neck and neck winners race came down to 

 

2nd placed brazilian Rim Rimularso

 

and the german winner Horst Pfister.

Shepshed Dynamo (who reached first round proper of FA cup in 1996 and lost 6 nowt at Carlisle) are a few miles from  me and play on a ground located here

There is a lad who knocks about in Preston called Bolt Upright tho that maybe via deed poll.

 

Working in the NHS the amount of ridiculous names was brilliant, we were always getting girls coming in called Candida or Meleena.

An old dear had the surname Bastard and it was pronounced that way too.

 

But the best one I saw was a young lass who came in called Jas Handz, I nearly weed.

 

There was also more than one Dr DeAth !

A flue company we use at work issued us a drawing drawn by a Dick Staines. Surely you would call yourself Richard.

Only coloured lad at school was called smelly - got called to the front once in assembly to gales of laughter, cue teachers knocking eight bells out of every culprit they could see.

 

Also guy who worked in the psychiatric unit at Blackburn in the 80's called Turlock Holmes - I kid you not.
