It's why I was against him being appointed. But Gartside never carries out that sort of basic due diligence.

He inherited Zaha but worked with him in the academy prior to being boss. He signed Bolasie from Bristol City where I think he struggled to get a game, Palace fans must have been fewmin with that signing at the time. Not sure on Jedinak but think he signed him as he spent a lot of time scouting Aus and leagues like Turkey I think
