October 1, 201411 yr I hope the bickering stops, we all want the same thing. I haven't read one person in the past week suggest he should stay. I agree. The situation is bringing out the worst in people on match day & it'll end with in fighting if he doesn't go. He has to for the good of the club & its supporters' sanity. October 1, 201411 yr Worst bit for me is how all this has got fans fighting one another. Dreadful stuff. Love bumping into fellow whites, can talk shite with the best of them. If he does get potted, let's hope this is the low point of the last few years and we can start getting behind a TEAM. Have my doubts though.

Dunno, seems like mickbrown and I finally agree on something
October 1, 201411 yr Can't see any infighting now. Think we're all on the same or similar pages. Just the venom that will come out on Saturday that worries. We move on together
October 1, 201411 yr I'm in more than ever I'm looking forward to Saturday win lose or draw, I'm sure he will be sacked and there's no doubt now it's the right decision.
October 1, 201411 yr Gartside is the fuckin problem Fuckin smug cunt He's got to go as well I'd be happy if he announced he was quitting end of this season.
October 1, 201411 yr Dunno, seems like mickbrown and I finally agree on something Welcome to the dark side
October 1, 201411 yr Zero shots on target The main problem we have is the best manager of the world is gonna struggle to get sommat out of some of these players Gonna be a long hard season We need to get davies and beckford in the team and start attacking
October 1, 201411 yr Whether the new man's in a job or out of work, he'll need a bit of realism from us fans from the off, with the crock of shite of a squad he's inheriting anywhere outside bottom six by May will be a job well done. Some of these may well be decent players who might be revived by a fresh face and approach but there are some that just rank bad signings and will be definitely 'Dougie's Deadwood' Edited October 1, 201411 yr by ianofrochdale
October 1, 201411 yr I agree. The situation is bringing out the worst in people on match day & it'll end with in fighting if he doesn't go. He has to for the good of the club & its supporters' sanity. This is where I'm at now. I'm still not sure how significant a change is going to be, and we're certainly not going to able to afford to appoint a manger that ticks all the boxes, but even it's marginal enough to finish 4th bottom rather than 3rd then it's worth making the change and paying off his contract now.
October 1, 201411 yr Could an employer (ie. Bolton Wanderers) - ask its manager to take "a break" without actually sacking him.... ie. get him to walk away for a while - take a holiday - whilst we promote someone to resurrect the situation?
October 1, 201411 yr Dreadful team selections and nonsense tactics aside, where are the leaders on the pitch? Is there any character at all in our squad?
October 1, 201411 yr Can't see any infighting now. Think we're all on the same or similar pages. Just the venom that will come out on Saturday that worries. We move on together I'd not call it infighting per se but it's not nice being stood in the middle of a braying mob during a match. I do think some folk revel in acting the cunt. It's those I cant afuckinbide.
October 1, 201411 yr I agree to an extent that any manager would struggle with what we have, picking a midfield from, what, 13 candidates must be tough for a start. But I also believe that a manager playing a settled team with a settled formation and settled tactics will see us getting better results. Results that would keep us up at least. We're dead with this bloke in charge.
October 1, 201411 yr I said pre match, if we lose 5 0 he has to go. 4 points adrift, worst goal difference, it has got to be the end.
October 1, 201411 yr Zero shots on target The main problem we have is the best manager of the world is gonna struggle to get sommat out of some of these players Gonna be a long hard season We need to get davies and beckford in the team and start attacking daughter bear suimmed it up for me on saturday most teams are nothing special but some teams have 2 or 3 players better than the rest ours, be it davies, lee, spearing, whoever, just dont do it often enough that, allied to our inventing new ways to concede is a recipe for trouble
October 1, 201411 yr I still don't think he will be sacked Me neither. I just get the feeling the club want to soldier on regardless.
October 1, 201411 yr Worrying that we can play such a defensive team and still conceed 4 goals Edited October 1, 201411 yr by Horwich
October 1, 201411 yr Me neither. I just get the feeling the club want to soldier on regardless. for the first time, i think he will be sacked if i didnt attend games id still 'soldier on' but im not being in the ground on saturday to put up with the same as last weeks antics
October 1, 201411 yr Who would you have? I personally don't want a manager who's in a job I want the best of who's out of work. We can't afford a manager who's in a job, Mounts. We can barely afford the leccy bill, it seems. It's got to be the best (most appropriate) of those out of work. I've done no research. That's what PG and his minions are for.
October 1, 201411 yr Worrying that we can ply such a defensive team and still conceed 4 goals aye, but we only conceded 2 with the 'defensive' team 2 more with 4-4-2 and mark davies in mf

Casino and Snoop, last bastion of support for DF, have crumbled. I think change is needed, and I don't think it's just down to DF still, I think another manager is going to struggle to get these fellas playing. Can't change a whole squad though, we will probably have to rely on a new manager bringing the lift in with him. Surely a team of Lonergan, Ream, Dervite, Mills, McNaughton, Lee, Spearing (or Medo), M Davies, Feeney, C Davies, Mason should be able to get results? Surely?
