Whether the new man's in a job or out of work, he'll need a bit of realism from us fans from the off, with the crock of shite of a squad he's inheriting anywhere outside bottom six by May will be a job well done. Some of these may well be decent players who might be revived by a fresh face and approach but there are some that just rank bad signings and will be definitely 'Dougie's Deadwood'

This is where I'm at now.

 

I'm still not sure how significant a change is going to be, and we're certainly not going to able to afford to appoint a manger that ticks all the boxes, but even it's marginal enough to finish 4th bottom rather than 3rd then it's worth making the change and paying off his contract now.

Could an employer (ie. Bolton Wanderers) - ask its manager to take "a break" without actually sacking him.... ie. get him to walk away for a while - take a holiday - whilst we promote someone to resurrect the situation?

Dreadful team selections and nonsense tactics aside, where are the leaders on the pitch? Is there any character at all in our squad?

I'd not call it infighting per se but it's not nice being stood in the middle of a braying mob during a match. I do think some folk revel in acting the cunt. It's those I cant afuckinbide.

I agree to an extent that any manager would struggle with what we have, picking a midfield from, what, 13 candidates must be tough for a start.

 

But I also believe that a manager playing a settled team with a settled formation and settled tactics will see us getting better results. Results that would keep us up at least. We're dead with this bloke in charge.

Roughly translated...

 

Casino and Snoop, last bastion of support for DF, have crumbled. I think change is needed, and I don't think it's just down to DF still, I think another manager is going to struggle to get these fellas playing. Can't change a whole squad though, we will probably have to rely on a new manager bringing the lift in with him.

 

Surely a team of Lonergan, Ream, Dervite, Mills, McNaughton, Lee, Spearing (or Medo), M Davies, Feeney, C Davies, Mason should be able to get results? Surely?
