Let's forget all this plasterer / mechanic nonsense, he's a high profile footballer and as such, a role model and someone who deals with the wider public on a constant basis. He isn't working in a sma

I heard his mate brought a girl back and Ched decided to have a go on her too. The mate didn't get done.

He's not, he's 6ft.

She felt dirty after he started tapping him nob on her forehead, otherwise it would have been fine.

Jessica Ennis-Hill to ask for her name to be removed from Sheffield United FC stand if Ched Evans plays for the club http://t.co/BXnBSpa8Yf

I think Ennis and mainly her arse are ace, but why has she got her name on a stand at a football ground? I know she's a Sheffield lass but it seems a bit shit to me.

At the time that she won the Olympics, having been the poster-girl for the Games (so no pressure then), SheffU were very pleased that she was a Blades supporter, although she had never been to a match. In the post-Games hysteria, they were only too willing to use her name.

Now both she and the club have been backed into a corner by this escapade.

I wonder if Jason Kenny was a regular at swimming baths in Bolton before they named one after him?*

I don't think she even turned up to the game that they unveiled her name on the stand. It was a ludicrous decision and a desperate attempt by Sheffield Utd to jump on the Olympics bandwagon.

Chad Evans. Wot no new contract?

I guess we'll never know unless he admits he raped her or she admits he didn't. Both highly unlikely.

What I do know, however, is that plenty of other footballers have been accused and found not uilty. Ronaldo being about the highest profile. Makes you wonder what the outcome would have been with the weight of Man U on your side.

Well his mate played for Port Vale and didn't get done

He should go and play in that new Indian league

He's been found guilty at trial and no grounds were found for an appeal so I think we do know.

I was in favour of him playing again but reading up on the case and his behaviour since I have changed my mind, wouldn't want him at our place for sure.

It's not just Sheffield, everyone is after some reflected glory.

I'm half expecting the new interchange to be named after Paddy McGuinness.

That's pretty much it for me. But as I said earlier, things will change massively if his appeal fails.

Then it's a case of getting a career back at all costs. Tears on Football Focus, breakfast telly remorse, the whole works.

Or he could get the verdict turned. Who knows? Stranger things have happened.

Or for Chris Eagles to be made a doctor.

Unless there is new evidence he cannot appeal.
