He's out on license so hasn't served his time yet.

My mistake. If it is deemed he can be reintroduced into society then he should be able to seek work in said society.

The case was proven because he admitted having sex with her but, she was that drunk it couldn't be proven she properly consented!

She even admitted to being wankered and not remembering.

Show me a man who's never been in that position and I'll show you a homosexual.

The defence would have to prove she did consent. Like I said, a very highly paid and expert legal team could not. You would have thought given her besmirched character and the views of many on here it would have been simple for them to do. Perhaps the twelve good men and women were convinced he was guilty by the evidence that you nor I are aware of?

Top of the list might be Luke McCormick who killed 2 children whilst drink driving, but has since been appointed club captain at Plymouth & has played every game this season for them without any apparent internet petition/witch hunt.

ta daaaa, someone has got it.

we have a winner.

Simple situation for the jury.

The complainant admits to having sex with one of the defendants but denies consenting to having sex with the second defendant insofar as she claims she was not compus mentus enough to do so.

The defendant admits to having sex with the complainant but cannot prove it was consentual.

If you cannot convince yourself beyond reasonable doubt that the complainant consented to sex, then by the defendants admission of sex taking place, he must be found guilty of commiting the offence.

As others have said, I think it would be best for everyone to wait for the results of his appeal before thinking about his employment in football. But even if his appeal is rejected, I think it's harsh to tar him as a rapist for life who doesn't deserve employment in his trade. If that's what people think should happen, they should be questioning our justice system rather than clicking on e-petitions organised by people with no association to the case whatsoever. Justice is paying for your crime in a manner the Justice System feels fit, not paying for your crime in the way a vigilante mob sees fit.

I'm a bit late with this, but I've only just thought about it - I wouldn't want a stand named after Jessica fucking Ennis anyway if I was a Sheff U fan.

Out of interest Bolty, would you have him starting for us against Leeds?

Hang on, I'll ask the madonna.

Seems a very tenuous conviction, yes undoubtedly he should be allowed to play football again but no I wouldn't want it to be at our club. Not because he's a convicted rapist but because of the bad publicity. Finally I think this conviction will be over turned.

Disgrace;

The Greater Manchester police and crime commissioner, Tony Lloyd, has become the latest public figure to ask Oldham Athletic not to sign convicted rapist Ched Evans because the striker has shown “no remorse”.

All offenders have the right to rebuild their lives and make amends after they have served their sentence but Ched Evans’ lack of remorse and failure to acknowledge his offence means it is simply inappropriate for him to be on a Greater Manchester (twat) football pitch week in and week out presenting himself as some kind of role model, especially to young people"

Making up new laws as he goes

Does he not get that that showing remorse for something you don't think you're guilty of would possibly harm your appeal?

Seems a very tenuous conviction.

No it isn't, see Smiffs post a few up.

If she can't remember saying yes, how can she remember saying no?

The two lads say she consented.

He was given a sentence of over 4 years.

Such sentences are never 'spent', so he would have to declare it in any employment application for life.

Failure to do so would result in his potential instant dismissal when the fact came to light.

If you bother to read the Independent's article higher up the thread you will learn of earlier indiscretions for which Evans escaped prosecution but showed no remorse whatsoever.

I contrasted him with Joey Barton. Joey is not someone I pay much attention to, but he does have genuine opinions on all sorts of things (and is on a degree course which he can afford to pay for).

Evans was an intecectually challenged young man earning £1M per yearwith lots of free time on his hands. No surprise that he found trouble.

Forget that Malc. The sentiment on here is that once she had entered that room she had it coming and should have just kept quiet about it.

what if evans was so far gone he did stuff he later regretted?

Apparently he licked her out after his mate shot his spunk up her

He was not with his mate and the girl when they entered the room (which he had booked for his mates - he and his brother were staying at his mum's). She had no recollection of him being there until she awoke.

She didn't have it coming at all and does not deserve all the abuse directed at her.

Ok she's not exactly high on any sexual morality lists when she meets a fella in a takeaway, tells him she's coming back to his hotel, gets in a taxi, goes into his room and then fucks him before the pizza is cold. She had ample opportunity before she got into the room to fuck it off but she didn't which is probably why he got acquitted. The bloke she happily shagged then left the room and asked for the hotel receptionist to make sure she got home safely in a taxi. Hardly the behaviour of a rapist or even a rapists mate.

What she didn't do was invite another bloke into the room fuck/rape her.

That's where it gets tricky and if I was on the jury I'd probably be convinced that as she didn't create that particular situation, was pissed, and on the balance of probability didn't consent to sex in a fully conversant manner in that she made no clear attempt or actions to instigate or encourage pokey wets as she clearly had done earlier with his mate.

Equally it does not make Evans a sex beast either to the extents where the nation appears to want to have him hung drawn and quartered in faux outrage.

Personally I think she wasn't convinced it was the best move but went along with it at the time, he took full advantage of the situation, she wasn't overly arsed and fell asleep but woke up distraught and embarrassed. If it was a savage rape she'd be kicking screaming and running down the corridor as quickly as she could plus there would have been cuts, bruises, etc.

However, ask yourself then if the sex was fully consensual and the answer is probably no which in black and white means he's committed a sexual offence.

So next time your Doris is leathered on the couch, be careful of thumbing one in.

Along with cold curry and kebabs, it's the breakfast of champions.

A real man would eat the pizza at the same time as shagging her

Evans was in a taxi to the police station (as a witness for another mate on a totally separate incident ) when he got a text off his mate.

He diverted the taxi to the hotel, Blagged a card key and went in the room.

The two lads with him in the taxi were outside hotel bedroom trying to film it all.

Evans then left the hotel via the fire escape.

I agree that he is not the frothing at the mouth beast some people are building him up to be, but he is clearly not the nicest bloke in the world. I find his bird sticking up for him weird and her dad. 'No love she agreed to let me have sloppy seconds after my mate, I am not a rapist' I think our lass would still be disappointed with me at this stage.

Also the guy on the hotel reception was listening by the door which again is not normal.

Nice image. How is your lass getting on selling that chair on Facebook ?

To be honest I think her forgiveness is more to do with her need to dig gold than her forgiving nature.

her old man owns prestons, she already has gold
