I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Rochdale win on penalties! Great stuff.

It wouldn't have felt right if they didn't go up

A lad who used to work for me is a mad Rochdale fan and got his dream job working there a few months ago, buzzing for him

Oliver Whatmuff has been unreal in goal for Rochdale this season.

Arsenal just taken the lead.

Bollocks.

Aye, looks like their league now, and also West Ham down.

Fouls all over the place, so why not disallow it, but give a penalty?

Or just leave it as it is.

Folk might remember my handle on here being 'of Rochdale' once upon a time. Grew up in the area, lived there most of my life, watched them many times over decades. While Wanderers were always and will always be my no 1, I've the softest of soft spots for them.

They've been through a tough few years, hopefully this is the start of a better chapter for them.

I don’t know why we even get surprised by VAR anymore

Absolute madness

Anyway, fuck Citeh. Arterta deserves a trophy.

PSG will still tear them apart though. No doubt VAR will ruin that final at some point as well

Rochdale v Oldham will be tasty next season.

The Arsenal goal had to be disallowed, clear foul.

Just watched this.  Scenes.

That BWFC winger who scored and assisted won't be in non league next season surely.

Already talk of Peterborough being in for him, which isn't surprising. 40 G/A in 88 for Boreham Wood.

Thought BW's manager spoke very well. Lost to 10-man Tranmere in the final a few years ago and now this. Has to be a decent chance that they never make it

Just watching el classico highlights

Trent, Bellingham and rashford all playing

Fair play to rashford for being the one that comes out on top this season, great free kick as well

I'm in exactly same position, brought up there with a Harwood BWFC dad. In the 80s all City/Utd & Oldham fans on that side of town.

So used to have outsider affinity with the odd Dale fan at school! Always used to blow my mind everyone used to be Bolton fans near my Nans*, even she knew how the Whites were doing through the BEN.

Never felt like that in Rochdale, hopefully this season may have given them a boost on that front.

* I now know this is not explicitly true and the pinks walk amongst us, however, Bolton is pretty partisan as they go round these parts.

Leeds bring 11 back for a corner, don't mark up, Tel just picks his spot from the edge of the box, I bet West Ham loved that "defending".  Not taking anything away from the shot, but L1 players can put them in so you'd expect a Prem player to at least get it on target.  Unfathomable.

Duberry esque from that Belloumi from Hull

Hull 2-0 up

Boring

They'd offer nothing to the PL

Doesn’t matter, Saints (or Boro) will do either of them.
