kent_white Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Listening to US commentary on a 'ahem' Internet based provider. Half time they were absolutely raving about Salah's finish for the first goal - and treated the second like it was a tap in. Strange folk. No wonder they keep shooting each other! Quote
Casino Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 A tale of two poor offside decisions I'm having 5 on city to progress Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 A tale of two poor offside decisions I'm having 5 on city to progress What odds are they to win tournament outright? Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 20 ish Would back city rather than scousers even at 3-0 down. Quote
MickyD Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 A tale of two poor offside decisions I'm having 5 on city to progress Liverpool's first, with the pundits convincing each other that it was tight but the linesman just about got it right... No he didn't, he got it a yard wrong. Same linesman flagged for city offside when he wasn't while the pundits convinced each other that his arm may have been offside. And the handball, right under the nose of the second assistant deputy vice linesman or whatever his title is and he didn't see anything. What the fuck is his job then? Quote
tomski Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 I just love that the dirty reds aren't involved. They'll hate this, whoever wins in the endBang on Quote
Dr Faustus Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Pauper boy avoided all social and mainstream media until 1045 just to see a 10 min recap... Hate both sets of fans, but fuck me Roy Keane seems made up with the result Quote
wiggy Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Anyone know what the score was the last time these 2 teams met at the Etihad? Just saying / wishing ... Quote
radcliffe white Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Just seen city are 5/1 to qualify for next round 14/1 to win competition Quote
Krimzon Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 So some team I dont give a shit about plays a team I dont give a shit about in a competition I dont give a shit about. May as well be womens tiddlywinks from Guatemala for me. Quote

bwfc2003 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 An arm can't be offside. Isnt it any part of the body?? Quote
jayjayoghani Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 No. It's any part of the body that can score a goal. Quote
ZiggyStardust Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Isnt it any part of the body?? Any part of the body with which you can legally play the ball. Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Any part of the body with which you can legally play the ball. So if it was the goalkeeper he would have been offside? Quote
Zico Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 So if it was the goalkeeper he would have been offside? only if he was inside his own box Quote
Whites man Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 only if he was inside his own box Then he could not have been offside. Quote
Zico Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Then he could not have been offside. so it's looking like a concrete yes that a goalkeepers arms would not be considered as bodily part that can be offside (because if they use their hands outside their own box, it's handball, obvs) Quote
birch-chorley Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Can a keeper throw it in the opposition net and the goal stand? (Even from his own box) I thought that would be a foul in the same way a throw in would be Quote
Dr Faustus Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 The ball is in play, so it stands. Ball not in play from the throw in. It's been twenty years since I qualified as a ref, so not 100% Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Any part of the body with which you can legally play the ball. Aye. Does annoy me when pundits say something like the defenders foot may have played him onside. Despite the fact that the strikers head maybe a couple of feet further forward. Loons. Quote
famouswanderer Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Aye. Does annoy me when pundits say something like the defenders foot may have played him onside. Despite the fact that the strikers head maybe a couple of feet further forward. Loons. Most annoying for me is when they say "well there was contact" as if that means its a stonewall penalty. Missed the memo that we have moved to a non contact sport Quote
MalcolmW Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Aye. Does annoy me when pundits say something like the defenders foot may have played him onside. Despite the fact that the strikers head maybe a couple of feet further forward. Loons. You expect pundits to know the rules? Quote
Guest Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 You expect pundits to know the rules? How many actual rules are there in football? Quote
