I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

I’d not be betting on that, wide open down there.

Still plenty time for Brentford to tumble into the bottom three

VAR will decide who goes down. Yesterday absolute stone wall penalty for Newcastle missed by the ref (fair enough) so why does VAR not ask him to review pitch side ? It was glaringly clear and obvious even to mr magoo!! Newcastle won 1-0 anyway but VAR is being applied poorly and will end up being the decisive factor.

Awful decision, as was allowing scousers first goal, blatant offisde

It's incredible how many times they can look at an incident & still get it wrong... & it's happening every week.

That Benteke offside decision was a shocker too. Linesmen are supposed to let the game play if in doubt.

Var reviewed that Doherty challenge and not even a yellow :D

They can't advise to give a yellow can they? Only to change the decision to a red, or reverse a red.

Is stupid though

Quite happy to be well out of this league at the moment, what a farce.

Mad how everyone can be in agreement that the Kane "foul" wasn't a foul yet VAR does nothing.

VAR is better than it was at the start but still a long way to go to get it right.

Aye, celebrations cut short as you have to wait on VAR imagine yesterday going mental then something gets pulled up

The offsides are easy because it's purely down to technology to draw the lines.

Other incidents are still subject to human observation and interpretation.

Bit of a nice goal that

Horrible, would just drain everything out of it.

It's the goal celebrations after a goal has been given, then gone to VAR, then confirmed again afterwards that are worst. Totally forced cheering!

Anyone see Forest's keeper yesterday?  That was some lump!

Every time we score I'm grateful we don't have VAR.  That Lee goal v Ipswich would definitely have had a check to kill the moment.  And yesterday' unforgettable scenes....Jon Dadi may have been a cm offside and in the keepers eyeline, who knows, but all the celebrations would have been cut short while we waited for a bloke at Stockley Park to look at 15 replays.

Aye, total nonsense decision. Jota runs into the keeper. VAR is absolute shite in the Prem.

Is right.

It was intended to be "for clear and obvious errors".

So, if it taken minutes & minutes, views from several angles & even then is still debatable then its not 'clear & obvious'.

The Euro's used it way better than in England. Initially this season that lesdon was learnt but the blob wrestled back control and it's back to looking at fingernail lengths. It wants stopping.

It's not the pictures that are the problem. It's some strange interpretation by someone in a room. The vast majority of folk can see that the decision is bollocks, just not the bloke that matters.

Can't remember the last time I watched a non-Bolton/England match - and I can't even be arsed watching England most of the time. Football is generally shite without any emotional investment. I'd rather watch my lad playing FIFA on his Xbox than a real life Premier League game.
