I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

Spot on I detest Real but this lad has gone to the top. He’s gonna have it all. Very likeable.

Glad he went there rather than their city rivals or Strike City. Hala Madrid!

I started but couldn't finish. Like a fucking chess match with no time clock.

Ruben Neves looks like heading to Saudi league. First player not in the last great pay check category and a warning to European elite.

Interesting one that,Nice money for Wolves, are the Saudis doing it to get round Premier League Financial Fair Play rules and loan him to Newcastle? Or as well as buying golf, do they have even bigger ambitions to buy the Saudi League the best club teams in world football.

The latter

It's a shames for Neves imo - the youngest captain of a Champions League club at 18, then he gets a move to Wolves before being shunted off to the Saudi league

A waste of a career

They were on about this on Trans Euro last night, and how Chelsea are about to miraculously relieve themselves of 4 players and their giant wages to Saudi clubs owned by the same group who have pumped investment into Chelsea's majority shareholder.

It stinks, it's a mess. UEFA and European clubs can't moan about financial foul play though, they've all been at it for decades.

Madness innit. Bent as fuck.

Mendy, Koulibaly, Zyiech and Kante all off there.

H&J just called it fly-tipping :D

PL will be short of sympathy when they start moaning about integrity. I expect they never thought there would be a bigger fish than them throwing the cash about.

Only thing I can see stopping more and more of the best going over there is the reward of the champions league for doing well with a European team. Rewards for Saudi clubs is Asian champs league which is nowhere near the same level.

They find a way to open up a competition involving SA and European clubs then all bets are off, but that would mean different federations agreeing to it. Wonder what their price would be...

Yeah they’ll soon get bored of shelling out ridiculous salaries that generate fuck all. Ask the Chinese. Not met a rich fella who fancies becoming poorer. Once the Saudis have what they want out of it, I’m sure the next development league will show. Someone will be becoming very rich out of this sudden interest in Saudi Arabia ha

They'll be looking for ways to play top European teams in something approaching competitive football for sure.

Like MLS has been trying with these pre season tournaments for ages but accelerated.

At the very least Game 39 will be getting another push.

Just had one of this lot pull up on the street, full head dress and go to a house which was previously Chinese owned and got raided 3 times for being a weed farm, and now this happens.  The bird watched his every move till he left and informs me we are safe !
