I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

More personal than footballing matters but I'd not noticed that Plymouth were currently  rock bottom.

Colleen, if she tolerates him back ... again, will keep him local. He clearly can't keep his lodger to himself. So prepare for years of him being a pundit on any number of tv channels & quietly fading out of view as time passes.

The videos and pictures on Mail yesterday were bollocks.

Hopefully he finds role with youth teams at Everton before he follows Gazza as he does love the ale.

Nothing like another tabloid witch hunt.

They won't rest till the blokes in rehab, which will one day happen I'm sure.

He got sacked because they are rock bottom and he's not very good at being a manager.

Need to be a number 2 somewhere, he's clearly got the knowledge, just don't think he's articulate enough to be a number 1.

He definitely needs an older head to help him.

I'd take it

Reading a bit from last night and saw that Stretford houcked Zirkzee off after 33 minutes.

I assume he wasn't showing & at 0-2 down Amorim decided he needed to alter 'the system' & have more midfield (Mainoo came on instead) & sacrifice a forward. I can"t imagine how a player feels at that moment ... admittedly still receiving his £150k+ pw wage helps a bit.

Are these so called rumours true or just hearsay say?

Unclear. It's not pure and simple.

Rock bottom or just bottom?😀  Southampton justify the rock bit, Plymouth 4 points off safety with a game in hand - and bound to win their next game now.

On Rooney's job prospects, you can add matchday corporate hosting stuff at both EFC and Man U for as long as he wants to do it.

0-2 down and Amorim brings on 2 defenders, very strange substitutions.

Made me happy that the half n half scarf cunts getting in my way in Oxford Road maccies were sad with the footy results

As I said further up, the scousers aside, they are a team that I enjoy watching. Fair play to them

I'm enjoying watching Man U this season.

Valencia v Real Madrid last night. Packed with incident - especially the second half.

Didn’t watch but supposedly Modric turned the game on it’s head. Also says he’s made 561 appearances for them that seems some going as I thought he’d racked up a few hundred for spurs too

He's 39 but the numbers seem way off

Wiki says 378 for Real, 127 for spurs, 642 career total

Ah fair enough. This was from Fab Romano on Madrid and spurs was just my guess

The Wikipedia figures at the top of the page are League only I think

Full stats are lower on the Wikipedia page. Nearly 900 club apps and 180 international - amazing career

My mistake, was looking at the career stats table but only for league, had to scroll right for total overall

130 goals and assists in 561 games ? Where does that put him in the WW Midfielder stat ratings ?

Assuming 75 mins per appearance - = 323 mins per involvement - between Dempsey and Tomo.

So a spot on the bench for him then.

We’d loan him to Rochdale or summat like that.

Proper preseason and some time on the grass and we'd sort him.

Make him a wing back

Inverted wing back as this will help to curb his natural instinct for passing towards the opponents goal, have to keep possession above 60%
