Maybe that if he did he'd have become an even better player, which may have made England better.

Had he scored the number of goals he did at yoonited rather than newcastle he'd be seen as one of the world's best, and would have won pretty much everything in club football.

His love of his home town team means he missed out on the silverware to go with his tremendous achievements in the goal scoring charts.
