Farrelli Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 RIP Jimmy Armfield, gentleman of the game. He left us just before I started going but definitely laid the foundations for our 70's success under Ian Greaves. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Swansea Liverpool isn't exactly a magnificent example of English football. Hard to believe this lot beat city. A bit of a snorefest, though happy to see Swansea in front. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 On the news they keep saying this table is based on income. Is this correct? A bit meaningless if it is. Suggestions that Sanchez will earn around half a million a week. That's £26m per year. I can't remember the exact figure but I think they said utd had an income of around £600m per year. That means paying one employee 4.3% on your income. Madness. Quote
darrener Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 U23 go to the top of the table after beating Sheffield Wednesday 2-1, goals from Connor Hall and Jeff King. Surely these two lads deserve to be a part of the first team on match days. Quote

Surely these two lads deserve to be a part of the first team on match days. Let’s hope the manager thinks their good enough Hall has to get in front of Le Fondre to even get on the bench and that’s no easy task. Quote
Marc505 Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 Nations Cup draw tomorrow. In the end UEFA and FIFA will just automatically qualify the best and most marketable teams for the final tournaments, qualifying competitions are becoming virtually rigged. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/uefa-nations-league-euro-2020-looks-set-to-compound-the-international-game-a7997826.html?amp#click=https://t.co/QBUqDxbJ4L Quote
