burnden Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 heskey and eider up front combined aged 73 !!! Quote
Bigtoe Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Well, that one came from left field Thats usually where his attempts at goal end up. Quote
Cheese Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 How many toilets can he clean in an hour? Quote
gonzo Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I Don't see what the issue is. Â He's an ex team mate of Lennon and he probably just wants to have a look at him. Â He's hardly going to be on silly money if he does sign and he's another bloke around the camp that's played at the very top and won a gazillion caps for his country. Â All about instilling that winning mentality back into the club. Â Decent bloke to have around the club IMO. Quote
Underpants Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Tie his boot laces together and he'll still be better than Beckford. Â Iamin Quote
jules_darby Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 How many toilets can he clean in an hour?Depends on how busy he is selling squirts of aftershave I suppose Quote
burnden Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Disappointing that this is the direction we are going in for me , he has hardly been a winner has he? Yeah he has 60 odd caps for his country but only managed 7 goals in those games and managed 1 goal in 19 games is the aussie outback league last year. Â Â Quote
Cheese Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Again, if Mr Lennon is happy, I'm happy. Quote
Rembrandt Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 The "Aussie outback league" is a decent standard. Del Piero plays there, among others. I saw 5 matches over there early this year, including Heskey for Newcastle Jets. Can't say I remember his performance - I wasn't expecting him at the Macron.   Quote
burnden Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Aye del piero scored 24 goals in 48 games for sydney. Quote
Walkden26 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 He would be worth the admission fee alone - always loved him. Â Quote
BOWTUN BAKED Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 If heskey plays for Bolton so can I Not with your knees! Quote
Alf Hartigan Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Seems to me like he's looking for players to open things up in the absence of mark Davies. Heskey could be a good hold up man for Clayton, whilst I could see Eider playing the Davies role. Don't think he'd be looking at either of them starting games though. Quote
white noise Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Can't do anything better until January and we are lightweight upfront, still an improvement on Beckford though. Quote
