I Don't see what the issue is.

 

He's an ex team mate of Lennon and he probably just wants to have a look at him.

 

He's hardly going to be on silly money if he does sign and he's another bloke around the camp that's played at the very top and won a gazillion caps for his country.

 

All about instilling that winning mentality back into the club.

 

Decent bloke to have around the club IMO.

Disappointing that this is the direction we are going in for me , he has hardly been a winner has he? Yeah he has 60 odd caps for his country but only managed 7 goals in those games and managed 1 goal in 19 games is the aussie outback league last year.

The "Aussie outback league" is a decent standard. Del Piero plays there, among others.

I saw 5 matches over there early this year, including Heskey for Newcastle Jets. Can't say I remember his performance - I wasn't expecting him at the Macron.    :)

Seems to me like he's looking for players to open things up in the absence of mark Davies. Heskey could be a good hold up man for Clayton, whilst I could see Eider playing the Davies role. Don't think he'd be looking at either of them starting games though.

few old pros with winning mentality and inspirational cv scattered around a few younger lads ....... Now where have we seen that before??? Book the flights boys
