Tough home game, but how ironic would it be for Eidur to score the winning goal? anyhoo 3 points and onwards and upwards.

  • Very good point in my opinion.   Lonergan our best player by a mile.   It's boring, but,,,,   ...under the two previous fuckwits of managers, we'd have lost 3-0.

  • Let's do these cunts

  • Good point and a clean sheet against a better team than us.   Superb rearguard action in the second half, so are we happy?   No, let's slag some kid off instead.   Our "support" is fucking shit.

Ref wilkinson,

Isn't a basic rule of football to protect the ball as a forward.

The answer is yes.

Didn't do it once.

His body never once protected the ball.

Difficult yes, he needs to watch some SKD videos.

Halifax massive (3) en route. 4-1 win. Clean up at bookies. Merry fekkin' Christmas everyone ... in particular bowtun baked, tomski, casino, anewman (most amusing posts), eyesright and all the other not rights.

merry Christmas to you sir????????

To be fair to him he's been playing that role with a decent amount of success in the U21's for a while now, he just needs a bit of work in the gym and more exposure to senior football.

I suspect if we have anybody else in before the end of the Jan window he'll be loaned out again to get that sort of experience at League level.

Thought we didn't look like winning (as others have said), so a good point.

Anyway, I enjoyed a Platinum Suite match with family/friends, plus a brief meeting with NL pre-match. Top man. Top afternoon.

Did you go in the hotel after the match?

Very happy with the point as we were hanging on from about 60 minutes in but showed great character with a hotchpotch team. The club needs to find resources from somewhere NL needs backing with everything we can afford to give him.

It is an art he definitely needs to learn. But he's hardly played any real football. Think very harsh to blame him when were it not for our injury situation he'd probably be being loaned out somewhere to get that experience right now,

Not a great game but a clean sheet against the (then) second placed side is a good point.

Being strikers short NL set his side up not to concede and it worked.Big Mick never puts a team of easybeats out so I'm very pleased today. Eidur had a decent game when he came on.

A plus for me was Eidur. That guy still has that touch of class about him. They played well in the 2nd half. McCarthy teams are always hard to beat but that's what happens when you have 8 giants and a couple of ratters in midfield. Not my ideal team or tactics but they get results.

The only downer int second hald was that pikey fucker hunt, he was obviously sent on to cause bother

3 games without conceding and we are putting our bodies on the line. Can see eidur making a big difference. Tough game for wilkinson to be thrown in, but he is young, give him a break. Point gained, unbeaten run continues, on to the next.

First day at work did you balance the company's accounts all on your own ?

And advise management on a suitable approach to depreciation to minimise impact on tax and improve the company's loss ratios ?

Or did you learn things over time ?

He also needs to put some beef on before he can protect the ball like SKD. He's one for the future. If we hadn't been stuck for forwards he wouldn't have got 90 minutes against scrappers like Big Micks side.

Fucking hell, at his age SKD didn't hold the ball up. What a load of utter bollocks!

Bloody hell. He is 19 and played about 10 games of professional footie. 70mins of todays up on his todd.

I think id take the opinion of the guy who has offered him a new deal and spoke highly of him in the years to come over anyone elses.

I remember a skinny 19 year old we had and let go, Jon Walters. Not all footballers are men at 16 like Rooney.

The lad needs a chance to both fill out and learn his trade. As Leyther points out he's more than capable of holding the ball up against his own age group.

A physical Mick McCarthy side is not the best comparison.

He's obviously got summert about him, Oldham wanted him back for a kick off.

He needs to do some weights, too lightweight. His touch is decent but he needs to lay the ball off quicker. He got caught in possession to many times.

Didn't hear anyone slagging him off mind. He needs more time to develop but at the same time he doesn't look good enough at the moment.

Clayton going off was a big blow for us because he's the only forward we have with pace. Without that, we weren't able to stretch them.

Mills was back to his usual hoof ball tactics all game and the ref was shite as usual.

Take the point, move on.

Good point and a clean sheet against a better team than us.

How old was SKD when he bagged a hat-trick at Burnden? He may not have been great at holding the ball up but having the ability to go on to score is an even better skill to have.

According to Wikipeado, SKD would have been 17 pushing 18 I think. He scored 22 goals for Chesterfield in over a hundred games.

That game against us when he played like Michael Owen against Argentina was a one off.

Good point and a clean sheet against a better team than us.

He's a young lad who would be back out on loan learning his trade if we weren't so strapped for bodies at the moment, ffs people cut him some slack. A few were saying similar about Clayton a few weeks ago & now are saying what a big loss he will be..... beggars belief!

Forward reinforcments are deffo necessary in the window.

correction, some of our support is fucking shit.

The real support is good, mate, as we both know.

It's the "support" that isn't, if you get my drift.

Another point , another clean sheet , another happy Saturday night ......
