Big Sam

I think he might get the Liverpool gig.

In a strange kind of way, I'd like to see how he did with a genuinely big club.

  • The difference is our fans behaved like spoilt brats under Megson.

  • I'd say it's a toss up who has more chance of playing in the Champions Leqgue next year, West Ham or me.   That 'back me' thing is a great get out clause for a second half of season slump. More mana

  • Van Gaal should have just listed what he's won as a manager. Then told Sam to shut the fuck up.

That Champions League thing going well for the 'ammers over Christmas?

He'll be gone before the end of the season, complaining about the lack of funding and ambition.

He thought he was getting Kris Musampa on the cheap I reckon

Wonder if that Champions League push will be reignited today? If it isn't, they've pretty much no chance....if they ever had a chance.

Wonder if Big Sam will walk at the end of the season as West Ham drift towards mid table after a lack of window investment?

He might be needing a rest by then. A break from football. Especially if a Villa or Sunderland just happen to be waiting in the wings.

Fulham rumoured to offer him or a Bruce a big deal at the end of the season according to the sun and people

West Ham are better placed to break into the top six than either of those two clubs.

For west ham a lot depends on how the ground move works out.

They're incredibly lucky to get that stadium for a total contribution of about half what we paid for ours.

Lucky ? It's Wet Spam. The country owes them big time for 1966. Everyone's favourite (2nd) team.

Aye. Apart from Leyton Orient, but who gives a shit about a small decent community based club like that? When West Ham were asked how they were going to fill the stadium they said they were going to give tickets away to school kids in the borough. Must have been music to Orients ears

Liked Big Sam's comment about struggling to cope with "long ball Man Utd". Bet he's waited to have that dig back someone else for a while.

Although Leyton's ground is much closer to the Olympic site than West Ham's current ground, both Upton Park and the Olympic Stadium are in Newham borough, whereas Leyton's is in Waltham forest borough. So in itself the offer of tickets to schoolkids "within the borough" does not impact Leyton. JSL

Except that Waltham Forest borders Newham and Orient's core support comes from both boroughs.

The only core support in Newham is for the Bangladesh cricket team.

Sorry for not knowing the ina and outs of the boundaries of London boroughs but I was making a more general point that the fact that a 'big' club getting a new, bigger and practically free stadium on the doorstep of a smaller but generally well run and decent community club is not actually a good thing for said smaller club? But well done, your pedantry does you credit. JSL

Didn't look like West Ham were exactly 1970s Holland.

He's really rattled Van Gaal, he was clearly losing it as he tried to explain about the long ball play in the game. He's not far off a Keegan rant, well done BFSA, keep It up :)

LVG should have put that game behind him. Now he should be looking at the videos of SKD. In for a ruud awakening.

Van gaals a cnut but in a cnut off, Sam would definitely win

So united played pub football and sams team couldn't deal with it

I'd shut up if I was him
