Will Chungy Play For Bolton Again?

Interesting article in the Bolton news tomorrow from Neil Bonnar posing the question will Chungy will ever play for Bolton again. Seems a strange article unless he has some inside knowledge.

Done fuck all since he came really apart from the last few games.

Mercenary wanker like them all.

Market him and get fucking shut.

Fuck me, how the tune has changed, he's been god for the past month or two!

Selling is a lose lose in my opinion, will get peanuts and we'll be without a player that (At the minute) is one of the best players in this league. How is that helpful?

I say keep him on, look at pushing for the playoffs, if we get there and get promoted he likely stays and if we don't he fucks off and we move on.

However we look at it we'll be worse without him, it's whether we want to be worse now or have more time to replace him when he goes in the summer.

The alternative is that we keep him, don't make the playoffs, he leaves for nothing and Lennon loses Commons as we didn't have the cash or freed wages to make it happen in time.

We aren't in a position to say a hundred thousand and 20 thousand a week for a few months is nothing anymore.

If he wants out and someone wants to buy now then there is only one answer.

Watched Muamba a while ago talk about chungy and say what a great attitude be has- does anyone know for sure that he is touting himself about? His upturn in form coincided with nl arriving. Whatever his motives he is playing well for us and that is what he is supposed to do. I'm surd nl will do the right thing for the club.

Don't see it myself. Given where South Korea should get to in the competition relative to the window closing, the fact that he is in Australia will make signing him very difficult. I agree, keep him until season end and get the best out of him in a push for the play offs.

If he's been given the chance to sign a new contract and hasn't or won't sign, then try to sell now. We need the money.

If someone offers good money we will sell, if no ones offers any money he will play when he gets back

Seems like the kind of player who responds to the right surroundings and tactics.

He should think very carefully about jumping to any Prem club with that in mind.

If I was him, I would see out this season with us and think about my next move for the long term. It might even be with us.

A lot will depend what sort of wage he's on, I don't have a clue, but if he's one of the last few on c£20K, then we'll be looking to get rid I would have thought, especially if we can generate c£500K worth of transfer fee as well.

I've got a sneaky premonition that Chungy is going to be reunited with his old teammate Ki Sung-Yeung at Swansea.

If chungy goes to Swansea then the Kia takeover will be dead in the water ffs!!

Kia will surely take over Swansea instead

Players come and go. I like chungy and would prefer him to stay but if losing him means it frees up some money to improve the squad as a whole, then he has to go - same goes for every other player at the club. We are in the championship therefore everyone is replaceable with better who may be cheaper

Crystal Palace have made a bid for Bolton Wanderers midfielder Lee Chung-Yong

Nothing at our end that this is true, it's in the Sun and Sky Sports. Probably rubbish.

Does sound plausible. About the right level.

Best of luck to him.

Favourite Chungy moment - Header against Brum in the quarter finals. :good:

Chungy loved playing against Birmingham.

scored on a few occasions home and away over the past few years

Best of luck to him.

Least favourite; keeping the ball in play at Good is on leading to the man who couldn't hit a cow's are with a banjo to score.

backing out of challenge v west brom to concede a last minute goal

though davies playing their mon onside wasnt lees fault

nor was coyles decision to put him on with minutes left

missinga fcuking sitter to complete a 3-2 in the last game v blackpool

but, whatever, i think hes a genuinely nice lad, however frustrating he could be

under lennon he's shown glimpses of the player he was when we were riding high in the PL, when let's face it, he looked really good (and when he was one of the best performers in the WC 2010)

he was ace against wigan amongst others this season

so if he stays, fucking ace, and let's try to persuade him, he's been good of late, and I'd say we're better equipped to get back in the PL with him, rather than without him

but if he doesn't, then no worries, he's capable of playing PL so if he gets an offer, he should go, we have talent it would seem in Clough, Clayton and no doubt a few others, so won't lose any sleep (but would be slightly disappointing)

Be a real shame to lose him on his current form but it does look likely.

Why do our best players always do it in the last year of their contract.

Because that is when their motivation is highest. HTH

Bolton are to receive $84,000 from FIFA as a result of CYL being at the World Cup.

That's the 21st highest for an English club, but Chelsea, Arsenal and the 2 Mancs all got $1M+ for their players' involvement.

(Just noticed Cardiff and Swansea also got more.)
