played the game for 15 years so guess I appreciate the grind of a game like that. Genuinely said afterwards possibly best game I’ve ever watched. Or certainly close to.

I don’t pretend to be rugby league expert but enjoyed the first half, level of intensity was unbelievable.

Agreed. The effort and discipline to defend like that is unbelievable.

If I had to pick 2 teams not to win another grand final ever it would be those two teams. But I would happily see Wigan dissolve.  Saints I just can’t stand the plastic scouse cunts 🤣 but it’s anybody but Wigan for me.

Wont they have to go down to 11 a side, as Union been told to lose two players to make more interesting? 😀

Had a ST at Wigan from 84 til they left Central Park. Thing I love about RL though is I used to nip to The Willows every now and again to take in a Salford game as a neutral. Stood on the end opposite the Willows club. Folk knew I was Wigan but welcomed me

what a night , i think we got there about 6 30

absolutely rammed in , but still had  had ale coming our way from the long bar

the tightest crowd i have ever been in in my life

i was snuggled up to an absolute friendly darling whose boyfriend was about 20 foot from us but could not get anywhere near

great match😁

I took a few clients to the willows for a salford Wigan game many a moon ago. Both avid Wigan fans. Like you say not a problem. Stood side by side and had a good laugh.
only time ever ive ever been involved in any trouble at a game was against hull kr at the willows. Good old skirmish had on the car park.

Wigan v Manley attendance 36,895, mates from work who went said it was well over 50,000 that night in 87 and WRFC diddled the figures.

remember a bit of a brawl at Burnden when  Warrington played in a semi

But got involved in a full on scrap outside Knowsley road in the 80s

proper full on running skirmishes

The reason that I got into Wigan RL was that my mates dad was their accountant and we got free tickets for the game. Their gate numbers made about as much sense as those at Burnden in the late 70s. Those bags of cash from the turnstiles were worth well more than the actual value as we all know
