I thought he was biz, but conceded we saw precious little of him

 

His (lack of) pace was what surprised me the most given his profile. My guess is that we hoped it would improve with fitness but it didn't? Long standing injury would make sense

Fuck me, there's a lot of gnashing of teeth over a kid who's played a handful of U21 games.

Training there as its a Class one academy (?), hasn't signed for them, but if they want him they have to pay a fee and potential add ons..

Playing for another u-18 is definitely not 'effectively signing for them' as burnden aces put it.

 

Plenty of non professional players play for other clubs on trial and end up no where.

They've taken him on trial. If they want him they pay us compensation. If they don't want him he returns and we carry on whilst his youth contract continues

And there is nothing we can do about it I don't think if they are a category one academy. We just have to take the peanuts and move on.
