Out of interest can we not extended the contract of current players?

I.e. if we'd known he'd play for most could the club have extended it before it ran out

According to the LEP Preston cant afford Feeneys wages .....no surprises there then ! Most of our first teamers are immovable due to their high wages ,wander how much Robinsons wages are?

The embargo blocks any player being registered, or you'd just get clubs saying players are playing for free to get round the embargo and just paying them via other means.

Suppose the club didn't pay the players for a couple of months and they all walked. A number of other players then volunteer to play for nowt. Couldn't utilise them.
