Breightmet Boy Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 He's always been slow, just great in the air and scoring from corners. I don't think he'll be able to cope being released by Chelsea, he adores the club. He should just retire or take a managers course, he'd be a belter. Quote
birch-chorley Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Prince gone to some Turkish outfit  I liked him  He was impressive at the start of the season but like many his confidence got shot to pieces as we began to fall apart - I think he'll come good for someone Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Not really that arsed, always a massive mistake waiting to happen. Shame as birch said, he had a really good start to his loan. Still a kid at 22. Quote
enzo gambaro Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 We're struggling to pay our players, let alone the ones we've borrowed from elsewhere. Maybe there's a loan fee due to Atalanta and we can't find enough money down the back of the couch to pay it. Â I'm a bit surprised Welly is still here. Quote
birch-chorley Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Maybe  But medium / long term it's the defenders on the big wages like Dervitte and Wheater that need letting go of  If anyone will have them that is Quote
Casino Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 So we signed Pisano, Wilson, Casado, Prince and Derik to improve what we had  2 remain Quote
Ani Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 On the transfer front West Brom turn down £21m cash for a lad they do not play. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I've heard of loan deals being structured so that the more your borrowed player is playing, the less he costs in loan fee. That's probably how we are paying Arsenal - if Silva plays until the end of the season barring injuries, he might cost us nothing in fees Quote
Eavesy Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 So we signed Pisano, Wilson, Casado, Prince and Derik to improve what we had  2 remain And them 2 barely play.  It's things like that are worrying for future if we did get taken over and some money invested for players Quote
enzo gambaro Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Maybe  But medium / long term it's the defenders on the big wages like Dervitte and Wheater that need letting go of  If anyone will have them that is No question. But your last sentence is the issue, isn't it? Dervite was in and out at Charlton before we picked him up so doesn't come with much of a reputation anyway - we're stuck with him.  Wheater is solid enough when he's fit, but gave any potential suitors an untimely reminder of his fragility the minute the window opened.  Unfortunately, we're far more likely to shift to promising young uns on relatively manageable wages than the older lads who are wiping their arses with twenties. Mounts Kipper Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 So we signed Pisano, Wilson, Casado, Prince and Derik to improve what we had  2 remain  Would Lennon have signed them if he had any proper money? Quote
Flannel Truscott Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Would Lennon have signed them if he had any proper money? Or a properly assigned budget. Â Think they released a few grand bit by bit. Â If he had known from the off what he would have in total it would almost certainly have been different. Quote

Guest Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) Would Lennon have signed them if he had any proper money? Â Why sign any of them at all, whatever the budget? Even if you've got nothing to spend, no point wasting wages on players who aren't as good as what you already have. This is the mentality that has got the club into this state. Just spending money on whatever is available in budget rather than asking whether that will improve us. Edited February 1, 2016 by bwfcfan5 Quote

Whilst outgoings were higher that incomings then maybe he should have been told "to go with what we have got" in the first place Quote
Casino Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 4 or 5 defenders or 1 attacker  Choice is yours  Well, it's not, but it was Lennons Quote
famouswanderer Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 so we have turned down a bid for Rob Holding Quote
ZiggyStardust Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Michael O'Halloran set to join Rangers for fee of around £500,000. Would we have any sell on, or did he just go as an out of contract ? Quote
burnden Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Lawrie wilson back with us after his loan spell. Quote
ZiggyStardust Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Guardiola confirmed as City Manager from next season. Quote
burnden Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Mental releasing that news now while they are still in every competition. Quote
Carlos Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 In Pellegrini's shoes, I'd fuck off wom now. Quote
