Guest Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 How is it considerably weaker?? Considering we have a gazillion players coming back from injury suggests that we will be going into the season with a stronger sqaud already. Pratley was on course for player of the season before his injury. Keeping him is a coup IMO. Amos is more than an adiquet replacement for Bogdan. Gary Madine is more than an adiquet replacement for cavies too. Adiquet Throwing in a french word for good measure Quote
Casino Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Medo and Spearing? Players Lennon shifted out last season and by all reports he wants shut of again. Well that's filled me with confidence. Baptiste is possible because Lennon hasn't worked with him. But no way do Medo and Spearing count as anything other than wage hoggers at this stage. We don't have a better squad than last seasons we've lost in my view our best centre back. We don't have a proper centre back in the squad now. We have no right back. Moxey as our only genuine left back. No midfield monster to dominate games, something we missed visibly all last season. No regular goalscorer up front. Having Clough and Clayton back is great but to put expectation on young shoulders coming back from injury is incredibly dangerous. Sorry I don't see us being better. I see us getting worse. We are just so short in key areas. Where is the physicality we missed last season coming from? Where will the solid back four arise from? Where are the goals? fcuk me, when did wheater, dervite and taylor go Quote
Guest Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 fcuk me, when did wheater, dervite and taylor go I'd forgotten about Wheater to be honest. Dervite is shite. Taylor has played one senior game and looked raw. Quote

Eddie Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I'd forgotten about Wheater to be honest. Dervite is shite. Taylor has played one senior game and looked raw. We've actually got 4. Wheater and Baptiste as 1st choice Dervite as sub Taylor as youngster who can be 4th in the pecking order Whether people think that's good enough is personal opinion Quote
Elson Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Matt Mills signs for Forest. Come on Dougie Trotter and Dervite next please. Quote
Farrelli Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Happy with Amos and Madine. Pratley re-signing was a bonus, Lennon had him playing like a different player. Clough, Clayton, Wheater, Davies and Baptiste returning will definitely make us stronger if they are all fit. I don't see Spearing staying, I think he will be loaned out again. The two main gaps currently are midfield enforcer (Palacios) and goal poacher (ALF). If he gets good players for these positions I don't think we are too bad. Also sorry to see Eidur going (again) but that is the reality for our finances. Quote
Matt Lofthouse Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Amos and Madine officially Wanderers! Amos on a 4 year is excellent business. Pratley extension confirmed. Good news! Great news. COYWM Quote
Carlos Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Eidur shouldn't be worrying about a few quid a week more if he hadn't been billy big bollocks and blown a fortune down the casinos. Quote

snowball Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Good news, two solid signings and the player we missed the most last season re- signing when it looked like he may be offski. Still a lot to do but solid start. And no way am I having it that Mills was our best central defender.Good riddance and good luck working with Deadly Doug again, deserve each other. Quote
Guest Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Where is the rope? Christ on a bike, someone take your laces off you. Just remember back to the end of the season and how according to many here most of our squad was not good enough. Likes of Dervite, Feeney, Danns etc were taking pelters. In my view those problems still exist. I just don't yet see a brave new world for us. Not yet at least. People are saying things like 'Palacios fills a gap' but apparently he's overweight and unfit. And we've not talked numbers yet. Still feel we've a lot to do and not much money if any to do it with. Quote

I think most people are clued up enough to realise that this is the first day of the transfer window, not the last. Premium prices right now, which drop as time passes. Quote
GeorgeOghani'sIroningBoard Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Amos is a great signing. Madine however is an accident waiting to happen on past form. If he could confine his physical assaults to the field of play he could make a decent player. Quote

Madine could serve a couple of short custordial sentences and still play more than Craig Davies did last season. Quote

BWFC_LOVE Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I don't think we should write off Dervite entirely. He was obviously awful in a back three, but he looked competent enough in a four for me. Quote
