The debt is largely immaterial. If we had actual debts that big we would have been closed down years ago.

 

However, we do still have an operating loss of a few million each year and the owner is no longer prepared to maintain this. Consequently the wage bill and transfer fees are now being very tightly controlled.

I get the operating costs Ffp & Eddie no longer funding the extras but to say the 'debt' is imaterial is just plain barmy .The club still has the debt admittedly not to the banks , until that debt is reduced/written off we are in total limbo .

A lot of professional footballers, especially when they are getting towards Amos' age would prefer to play week in week out for a slight drop in salary.
