If anyone has all the accounts to hand then you should be able to work out all the money put in versus taken out

id bet that it's not a million miles away from breaking even but at the end of the day it's an investment and he should expect some level of return on it or he might as well have stuck it in a bank account

I doubt it will go down as the best investment he's ever made

Lennon didn't want ALF.

Lennon didn't want ALF.

Wheres that quote from?

BWFC is an on-going business with real Employees, tea ladies and cleaners, and the leaders of any business surely have an obligation(morally) to try and turn the Companies fortunes around if and when things get a little bit shit....I fail to understand that he would have been happy to continue losing 10,15 or twenty mill a year as long as we,re in the prem, but then wants out when we are in a league that we could balance the books in a couple of sensible years!

Is it me that doesn't understand?

No there are others, you're not the only plant pot.

Lennon didn't want ALF.

He was quoted as saying he did but didn't think we'd reach an agreement

I've also been told the same from elsewhere

Anyway, it matters not

ALF is dead, long live Madine

The way I have read this is that Lennon has basically been told he's not a cat in hells chance of signing ALF. I can't even believe people thought it was a possibility to be fair.

Almost as ridiculous as thinking Hooper is

He wasn't going to put all his money on one number.

The only way ALF was coming was on loan and for the right numbers for us.

I suspect Wolves are paying more of the wages than we could and with a potential agreement to buy at the end of the loan, offering something we wouldn't offer.

We'll be looking at Prem loans on agreeable terms. For better of worse.

Outside of Bolton i see Palace have managed to get Connor Wickham in, on a 5yr contract too.

Should be a very good side this season. Certainly challenging amongst the best of the rest for the europa league spots

Le Fondre is supposed to be on 18K a week, this was always going to be a non starter even if we shifted a high earner off the books.

Another club who were on their arse and have now left us far behind. Bet their chairman is glad Gartside took Freedman away

If we'd have shifted Medo and spearing that would of easily taken care of ALFs wages. Sad turn of events.

If we had offered Connor Wickham a 5 year deal and paid 9 million i would have been a bit disaapointed. Shite.

Watch him score 20+

100% agree another example of very average English players lucky to be milking clubs of the new sky money deal.

Although I agree with the concept of your post, we do need to remember that players turn up for training and play in matches, IMO the increase of wage demands and transfer fees is down to the agents who are spoiling the game we all love. These corrupt individuals make the decisions on wage demands and minimum release fees. It's shocking to know professional sporting athletes believe anything these money grabbing tw@ts tell them.

How does that make them corrupt? The amount of money swilling round, they have no need to be anything other than 100% legit.

It's not the players who give the premier league billions it's sky, who gives sky the money, the majority of us

If your not happy about the wages average players get then don't watch it

If the premier league is going to be watched by a global audience as it is then it will continue to generate billions of pounds a year

The premier league could trouser the money I suppose but they won't as its run by its 20 members and it's shit scared of other leagues taking its place. The club owners could cream it in like blackpools owners did but look at the stick they get. Besides by doing so you'll almost certainly get relegated sooner or later.

Finally it's the players and their hangers on. I'd rather 500 players each share the rediculous amounts of money than 20 club owners who are largely from foreign shores.

Even if we did shift Spearing and Medo, and freed up a shit load of money, we certainly wouldn't be offering £18K per week to any player I wouldn't have thought

Its a loan deal and Cardiff are paying a portion of his wage. I'm not sure Lennon wants ALF back anyway.

Isn't Amos on 18k a week? ..........I heard he wanted 22k but we offered what Bogdan was offered to stay ie 18k.

He's our player though, he has a value.

With ALF, unless he is getting us promoted its a waste of a million quid

Reading the Wolves forum and the concensus that ALF will make a decent 3rd or 4th place striker for them makes for a depressing 10 minutes.

I clearly understand where the Premier League gets its money from.

I also know it's the players agents who advise what money demands he/she thinks their client should be requesting when negotiating a contract.

In regards to me not watching football because I don't agree with the wages, I suspect the majority of people posting on here think the wages in this day and age are ludicrous.

And presumably one of those strikers is a certain Mr Afobe, even more depressed now.
