Back in the day a woman in the pub sat in silence, knew her place - OK, you'd occasionally get one piping up to egg on her husband or partner to beat someone up (out of order) or to offer to get the drinks in (acceptable), but to pass on football rumours? Nay lad.

One question.  Where is the Pub where women offer to get the drinks in? I certainly have never frequented such an establishment.

Any pub where men have run out of money and women know withholding money for other purposes, such as to buy food for a baby, isn't worth the chance.
