radcliffe white Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 That cunt caused the issue by gross mismanagement and horrific understanding of the players However the players were indeed cunty Anyway back to the current cunts.... well at this time we need that type cunt, like him or hate him Doubt we would be rock bottom with him in charge Quote
jagermoot Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Its these sorts of scenarios that should define if a manager is world class or is a top flight manager, etc. Would pep/anchelotti/jose be able to work anything with our squad or are they only top managers cause they have loads of coin to spend? Mounts Kipper Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 He managed to get very good players to lose a game we needed to win at Wigan That's how much of a shit man Managwr that cunt was I'd apportion a large part of that defeat to Gsrtside wasn't he the one who instructed the second string to play in Lisbon? Think that decision bottomed the players, a 1/4 final of a European comp and we threw it. Fuckety fuck. Quote

Judge Fudge Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) You think Gartside had a say in who played? Fuck me. Chairman said forfeit Europe - Megson The Owls boss also revealed that, during his spell at the Reebok, Bolton chairman Phil Gartside asked him to ignore their European campaign in a bid to avoid relegation. "I took Bolton further in Europe than they've ever been," he said. "Yet I was told by the chairman to get out of Europe because they don't make any money in it and it was having an impact on the league position, and it was absolutely imperative to stay in the Premiership. "Bearing in mind that was the worst start that's ever been seen in the Premiership and still is, it was a huge ask to stay up, notwithstanding the fact we were in Europe. "I do think that, if it hadn't had been as tenuous in the Premiership, we could have got even further against Sporting Lisbon. Edited December 6, 2015 by Judge Fudge Quote
jules_darby Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) well at this time we need that type cunt, like him or hate him Doubt we would be rock bottom with him in chargeYou missed the point pal He was that bad at getting the best out of players he alienated the first team which resulted in a loss against 10 men Wigan. Who were shit And then none of them wanted to play for us hence a team that should have been comfortably mid table sat in relegation He's exactly the opposite of what we need We need out lot pulling together; all for one and one for all; siege mentality Not a moody ginger cunt. We have one of those already and we are rock bottom. At least this one has charisma Basically we need a wizard that can make average players good; not one that makes good players shit Edited December 6, 2015 by jules_darby Quote

land_and_sea Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) We lost a lot of matches the last half of the season. 17 games=17 points. Relegation form. Edited December 6, 2015 by land_and_sea Quote
mickbrown Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 We lost a lot of matches the last half of the season. 17 games=17 points. Relegation form. Sam's bottom lip went at Xmas when he was told he couldn't have any more money. Same as it did the previous season when he didn't get the England job. Quote

MalcolmW Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Allardyce says he did (Coca Cola Cup) Megson says he did (Europe) Cheese says its bollocks Who would you believe? Cheese. The manager picks the team. There is no other basis on which to be the manager. The manager is accountable to the chairman, but is surely capable of explaining that deliberately fielding a weakened team will have a negative effect on the team itself (not to mention the supporters). When I was managing Stretford's track team, and a member of the Lancashire selection committee, I was invited to manage the county team for the annual inter-counties championship. I asked "Who will pick the team?". The response was "We will, just as now" (the 5-man selection committee). I declined the invitation for that very reason. Quote

MalcolmW Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I've read Sam's book and he seems to have persuaded himself that PG blocked him from the England job. I know that PG would have been delighted if Sam had got the job, as he would have left a fractured relationship with honour. Sorry I have no athletics angle on this one. Note to self - must try harder. Btw if you can't accept that parallels can exist between sports, you are wrong. Quote
jayjayoghani Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 That draw at Chelsea Allardyce's last game. Players did a very good impression of playing for the manager. They were fighting for the title too. Quote
Guest Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 We lost a lot of matches the last half of the season. 17 games=17 points. Relegation form. A point a game often keeps you up in that league. But aside from that poor form doesnt mean a manager has lost the dressing room. It was mainly down to an ageing midfield and fairly small squad running out of steam. It happens. Quote

It was mainly down to an ageing midfield and fairly small squad running out of steam. It happens. That's true. It's a long time ago my memories a bit fuzzy. We were doing so incredible though. In January 1st or 2nd in the Premier then a bit of a slide. Quote
Ani Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Are there any highlights that show the penalty shout ? The short highlights on the club show the tackle as the image for the highlights but it is not in the highlights. Quote
