Imagine being this wound up about about the gays.

Makes you wonder.

Imagine dictating who does and doesn't have a right to voice their opinion.

Makes you wonder if our lover of 60s Britain; trifles and poppies really understands what they died fighting for all those years ago.

Think he'd have been happier if we lost, just saying.

Can't be arsed with this one. Off to make a full English.

On second thoughts, I just noticed what the site coprophile posted. Wound up about gays? The lads a fucking lunatic. My issue is with self opinionated cunts pushing their views on the rest of us when they should be concentrating on trying to win our first international trophy for 56 years.

I know he struggles to stay on subject. Most gingers I have met have a similar trait. Anger management classes can help.

Is he giving his food to others though?

haha - we could go round in a circle of metaphors.

The reality is that sporting professionals have just as much right as me or you to voice an opinion. It's not for us to decide whether they can or can't. Wouldn't you agree? Or should someone have less rights because they're famous?

Disagree with em as much as you want; but if you want to take their voice away then you might as well start sieg heiling when you walk out the door.

100 % but there’s programmes for that. When I’m watching football I want them to talk about football, same with any sports. I don’t expect the people on homes under the hammer or antiques road show to start talking about bummers in the Middle East. Stick them on question time or some other talk shows

Concentrate on whatever it is your paid to do and nothing else.

Full marks for observation. I totally bollocksed the full English by substituting gammon for bacon. Would you expect anything else? :blum:

.....and what he missed (as his sort almost always do) is that no one said they aren't entitled to an opinion. Of course they are as are all of us. Foisting your opinion on others on what I believe is a totally inappropriate platform is another thing though. Concentrate on the football FFS and do your fucking job. Brazil will.

The BBC article on the 'parallel universes' to a point amuses me. Reminiscent of the muslim protests outside Birmingham schools at the content of sex education classes. The woke lefties simply do not know how to handle this. They have a foot in both camps as they wish to be the friend of both diametrically opposed parties. They will most likely just shut the fuck up which can only be a good thing.

I sent a Frankie Boyle clip to Gonzo for which I wish I had the skills required to post it here.

Utter fucking codswallop. See post above on their entitlement to have an opinion.

One question - have you been glued to the World Cup TV coverage?

“Complete and utter focus on football and nothing else”.

”They should shut the fuck up and be grateful for what life has laid at their feet “

All your words mate, not mine.

And now suddenly we’re to by believe that you are okay with them having an opinion?

And hate to burst your innocent little Brazil bubble 🇧🇷 but their players also express political opinions - https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2022/sep/30/brazil-neymar-bolsonaro-support-election

doesn’t really fit into your “they should shut the fuck up” agenda. Or is there a reason you chose to sweep this one under the carpet?

Looks like you need a new team of sheep to support Bolty…. Perhaps Qatar?

Here we go again. Anything which doesn't follow their woke agenda is moronic. Even managed to weave the 'R' word into it for full 'faux outrage' effect.

Not that i think you'll be remotely interested in a counter viewpoint but fuck it. I'm feeling exuberant after watching Brazils opener. The BBC too. Sacked in the morning.

World Cup 2022 armband row: 'Two parallel universes on human rights controversies' - BBC Sport

An interesting observation of the pundits and presenters is the plaudits given to Saudi Arabia following their famous victory. Rightly so, but no mention of their record on the same issues within Qatar.

All out of the window when it suits.

Which is the issue with embroiling themselves within the all these political/human rights issues; they risk getting hoisted by their own petard.

That’s just your opinion of what you want to see. You’d struggle to find any show that doesn’t discuss politics, even antiques bloody road show has their moments.

Politics has always been a part of football, from the moment it was born. We’ve now got talk of whole states and oil tycoons buying Liverpool & Utd - pundits will discuss these things on Sky, itv, BBC and the like.

BBC have built in time to discuss Qatar on their show, it’s the World Cup host, why not? They’ve spent 95% of the time talking ‘football, , it’s hardly something to get offended about. They’ve decided as an organisation and have every right to do so.

If you don’t like it then write a compliant.

They're not hosting the world cup.

Saudi Arabia aren’t the hosts.

And they’re a nation that have been criticised in the past. We’re now at risk of them owning a quarter of the premier league so no discussion will be “thrown out the window”.

Question is will we see the FA and Premier League finally take a stand and stop them? Probably not, but at least those discussions have started.

Won't be changing matey. Been enamoured with Brazilian football ever since a certain interlude at Bromwich Street in 1966.

I note you overlooked that my criticisms have been of the FA and their puppet but inconvenient for your attempt at an argument eh?

Haven't you got some gluing to do?

Currently glued to a Shell oil rig, one hand free though.

You said Brazil “concentrate on the football”. I’m just pointing out that they also express opinions.

It’s beyond your train of thought that he’s actually in the post because he’s one of our successful tournament managers?

or even that the players are supportive of wearing a rainbow band?

you’d be the first to blame the politics the next time we lose. No different to the Evatt Out brigade whenever we fuck up or the Germans that blamed their team protest.

Hope Brazil do you proud matey, Bolsonaro’s bum boy Neymar will welcome you with open arms 🇧🇷💛🤗

It’s good to see Bolty standing shoulder to shoulder with James McLean, who also prefers to keep political symbolism away from the footy.

That is a fair point. Most football lovers must enjoy watching Brazil.
