Always look at the long game. Can't decide whether his next step should be to sort out Iran or go after the judiciary weaponisers. I feel confident that he'll make the right decision.

He didn't necessarily have to go about it in the way he did though.

The personal attacks etc were totally unnecessary. 

It isn't unreasonable to want something in return for all the assistance that has been provided, but I'm sure such discussions could have been had in a far more diplomatic way.

They've stopped buying Tesla, for two reasons, Chinese EVs are much better and much cheaper....and Musk has shot himself in the foot by being a massive dick and getting involved in stuff that has fuck all to do with him (not that he'll be overly arsed I'm sure)

If people don’t buy a car because they don’t agree with the owners political beliefs then they’re a bit strange. It’s a bit  like those people who say they won’t buy from Flannels because of Mike Ashley or the conspiracy nuts who won’t buy anything associated to Bill Gates even though they know the product in question is probably the best on the market.

it's not strange as such, it's principled

some people have them, some don't

the basis for some might be strange, like the conspiracy theorists based on nonsense

but nothing wrong with refusing to buy something from someone becuase you don't believe in what they stand for

Tbf a car is also a status symbol, Tesla customer profile is aged about 50, eco and image conscious. If the brand gets tarnished by anything it will affect sales. 
 

Jaguar got a load of stick for their strange advertising recently, having you best known face acting very weird and throwing out what looked very much like nazi salutes is going to switch off some customers.

I know a lad who has had a Tesla for the last 3 years. His lease was up for renewal and he didn't get another one because precisely because Musk is such a bell.

Saying that, he got a Porsche instead, so he's hardly slumming it.
