He wants to keep the land he’s stolen from Ukraine.

No right minded person should think that’s ok.

A genuine peace deal should see it handed back and the war ended.

Otherwise, he will know that as long a trump is around, he can get away with it.

They want to finish the war by winning and regaining all of their stolen land, this can only happen with he help of the US and European allies, they think a peace deal will be struck but aren't happy as they will be giving in to Putin

Yep. It is unfortunately necessary to stroke Trump’s ego whilst quietly keeping the integrity of Ukraine at the forefront. It is a bit like persuading a difficult child that a certain course is best. Starmer showing great leadership skills.

Starmer played a blinder yesterday, as did Macron earlier in the week.  Let’s hope Zelensky triumphs today.

I’m going soft but seeing Trump in those situations he does come across much more positive.  Date-I-say slightly affable, even with a bit of a sense of humour. I could respect him infinitely more if that was his true self or if he at least consciously chose those behaviours, as opposed being a complete tosser 99% of the time.

Anyways, if he can bend in the wind to bring peace to Ukraine which satisfies the Ukrainians, avoids slapping tariffs on us, and gets a trade deal done then I promise not to slag him off quite as much.
