But now it's mainly overly long AI slop. Being AI generated doesn't necessarily mean it's incorrect but they tend to be much more persuasive than a human can be. Until you get better at understanding the giveaways. Step one is checking out how much content they're churning out. If it's 3 2 hour long scripted videos a week - then there's no way some bloke at home has managed to put it together. And that should be a massive red flag. I imagine more and more content will end up like this. Give it a decade - maybe less and it's going to be very difficult to understand what was made by a human and what was made by an AI. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 Quote

It's fucking obvious. The creases in his shirt don't change from the first frame to the last, and it's a 25 minute video. Quote

It depends if you're actively looking or not I suppose. I don't think it IS obvious - until you know the red flags. That's why it's so convincing. The speech model they've used is particularly good. It didn't even initially scream AI to me until I looked at the other videos. I can see why somebody that know a great deal about AI or how it works could be easily taken in. Especially if you're just listening to it and not watching the video. It's like we used to get taken in my photoshops until we got wise to it. Quote

Aye, personally find most AI content easy to spot as I've been dabbling with it and follow various AI related social media accounts Still relatively early days but it won't be long till you really cannot tell the difference Definitely less than a decade Probably less than 5 years Will be here before we know it Quote

Not in Crawley Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) Loving AI - for me, i use it with work to speed up processes that used to take ages, inventory management, doing a full tours gross value on each price band across 30 or 40 dates. Every project i upload all the number files so it pulls from them so when i so all my sales input for client meeting slides take me half the time with all the correct information. My daughter's school as an AI user group of parents. They invited me on it, but everyone else works in higher and further education (its one of the only employers round here) and they are just focused on how it impacts homework. I had to say, forget homework. Those jobs above were my first career roles after Uni, they simply arent needed anymore. So we need to be prepping kids for a whole new world.of work. Folks think its just this sideline, its going to change how we work as much as email has. Got to be all.over it now. However, there is always the need for human roles, its lower level admin that will be the first hit and that is usually graduates first role. Edited January 12 by Not in Crawley Quote
kent_white Posted January 12 Posted January 12 It's a tool - the same as the internet is a tool. Or a hammer. And you can usually use tools in ways that benefit or ways that make things worse. Unless it's a trowel. Although I suppose you could turn that into a weapon 😁 And you still need to fact check everything it says. It quite frequently makes things up if it doesn't know an answer to something. Quote

Yeah I think we need to wake up QUICKLY about how AI is going to impact the job market. I can see a world in a couple of decades where nurses skills are worth more than a Doctors. Soft skills are going to become really important. But I imagine AI will start to make more and more decisions in big organisations. Battle of the AIs. A REAL new world order! Once they implement 'harvest and decrypt' quantum computing - basically everything you've ever done online can be used to profile you. And they're already in the harvest stage. Basically - 99% of this board are knackered! Especially @gonzo if what I read about your WhatsApp chat is true! 🤣 Quote

Largely my thoughts. Did say it might be bollocks, but as you say, it doesn't mean some of the fundamental points aren't correct. The biggest indicator for me that it might be bollocks, was the blokes lips seemingly being a touch out of sinque. What we do know is that historically, empires rise and then fall. Quote

I've never been a proper marketeer, always a client manager because we are all in the same pool, can always use the same tools but how much you work for a believe in the client is how you get the work now.
