darrener Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 What a win! 3 generations of Bolton fans me my son and my dad went absolutely berserk when woolery scored, thought lennon lost the plot for a while in the 2nd half didn't seem to know what to do for about 15 minutes.anyway good performances from Amos, vela, holding, spearing, trotter and woolery, Heskey was awful time to hang up your boots son! Played better and lost so today feels very sweet. Decent crowd on as well on a miserable day. Onwards and upwards!! Quote
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 It might sound different in America - but a scoreline of 2-1 compared to 1-1 makes a pretty big difference going in to stoppage time But cut adrift, I think not - maybe a point or two difference, max. His stock is deceptively high because of his goals against Eastleigh. Let's not overplay his importance to the team. He's been, at best, average this season. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Cracking result, crap performance but don't care 1 little bit. Amos has been erratic this season but looked good today and made a few crucial saves. Hopefully he can kick on from here. I just don't get Moxey or Dervite, I know we can't replace them with what's in the squad but they are being shown up by a kid who's played maybe a dozen league games. The whole team had more balance once Trotter came on. I'm far from his biggest fan but I'd love him to prove me wrong and become one of our most important players - he's been doing that recently. Chuffed to bits for Woollery, hopefully that will give him a boost and settle some of his nerves. His pace is frightening for defenders. The life support machine is still on - just Quote
Biggish Dave Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Just st seen Silva's dis-allowed goal too and played it back very slowly, I reckon the defender who tried to block Heskey's shot played Welly onside Quote
Rembrandt Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Champions We are the worlds greatest team I'll be an happy drunk tonight I'll settle for happy. Quote
darrener Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Redfeaarn saying they should have had a dozen goals today, don't know were he gets that from, thought there lad should have been sent off for decapitating Silva Quote
Spider Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Look, it were mainly dog muck. But they showed a resilience that has been lacking Lennon continues to baffle. Woollery and Clough together could be something special next season, if the chance arises..., We fucking won. It's on. Big time. Quote
marple whites Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 For once, didn't deserve to win and did. Right back in it, in form and a bit of belief. Come on. Quote
famouswanderer Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Tbh i was obviously in the minority when i thought it made sense to stick feeney up front, our top goalscorer. Than woolery who had never scored a goal for us??? And then woolery scored Felt fucking good that. Better than sex most defintely. Quote
SatanGreavsie Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Th'East Midlands Whites are just back (having driven through a monsoon after Stoke) and are drinking heavily Quote
Gonk Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I think Rob Holding is our best player by a country fucking mile, what a defender he is. The more I see them the more I wonder why these young lads aren't getting more games, Woolery's pace is monstrous. Anyway, great result, not a good performance but who gives a shit? Madine and Trotter in for Heskey and Madine next game and we're looking a decent side. Not that Heskey didn't do well, just can't do it for long enough. What happens here, Madine injured in the warmup? Quote
White Shirt Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 There'll be momentum in Beef.???? Yesssssssssss Quote
superkev Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 In the 88th minute my lad asked if we were going. I said no as I just had a little feeling we may score. Absolutely buzzing Quote
superkev Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Heskey can't move and that was a major problem. They just pushed up knowing the two centre backs could handle him. Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Poor from 2nd minute to 92nd minute, but that means nowt as long as we keep picking up points. Redfeaarn saying they should have had a dozen goals today, don't know were he gets that from, thought there lad should have been sent off for decapitating SilvaA dozen is more than pushing it, but they missed three sitters first half that didn't even hit the target, plus the couple of decent saves Amos came up with. Quote
gonzo Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Redfeaarn saying they should have had a dozen goals today, don't know were he gets that from, thought there lad should have been sent off for decapitating Silva I can think of five chances they probably should've scored with. They were camped in our box for about 20 minutes in second half. The prick in pink boots is softer than our washing machine. Quote
White Shirt Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 No washing machine last 2 games = 4 points Quote
famouswanderer Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 No washing machine last 2 games = 4 points Still think we are better with him in the side Quote
gonzo Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 No washing machine last 2 games = 4 points Heskey retained the ball more in the first half than that wanker has all season. Shame he's not 10 years younger Quote
only1swanny Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 is there any vids doing the rounds with the goals ? Quote

Eavesy Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Heskey retained the ball more in the first half than that wanker has all season. Shame he's not 10 years younger I'm not sure chesting it back towards our own goal and losing it is retaining the ball. However I'll let you off as you aren't much of a Madine fan. Anyone relatively sober and sane will have seen the issues caused by Heskey upfront today and I think that will be the last time we ever see him start for us. Quote
