Thanks for banging on about it. We're all eternally grateful for your insight

  • I like how they have voted Chris Powell as their first choice.   Not many clubs can say they have had two black managers in a row.

Jim carver would be better

He does fit The Bill..

nixon really gets up my nose.

does he ever tweet anything useful?

I always trust the bookies with this market as somebody somewhere knows something.

Wilder now 5/4 on.

Anyone been on a cobblers forum??

Nixon reckons Holdsworths choice is Nolan assisted by Peter Reid.

PG appointed a load of yes men. The young managers were perhaps evidence of that, possibly was fearful of another Allardyce situation.

If KA went down that route I'd be seriously concerned.

Deano's earlier comments about his experience of managers not being able to get non footballing directors to understand football issues made sense but concerned me as to how he saw his role.

Perhaps now we are at rock bottom perhaps a young manager may prove successful, but the overpaid senior players need carting first, and then time given for development.

If we are still stuck with some then a more experienced man manager may be needed.

I have been reliably informed that Chris Wilder has the job.

Had a look earlier, nothing on there. I think it would be a massive shock for them!

Oddschecker has it:

Phil Brown 6/4

Chris Wilder 2/1

Kevin Nolan 7/2

Peter Reid 6/1

John Carver 9/1

Steve Cotterill 16/1

Going off Anderson's interview saying he wants a young manager, that would surely rule out Brown who I thought was nailed on for the job. Wilder certainly fits Anderson's criteria.

dunno, how young is young?

wilder is 48, brown is 56

coyle was 43 when we took him on

freeedman was 37

lennon was 43

for the record, fat sam was 45

wilder is also on his 5th club in management

just doesn't strike me as "young"

this made me titter don't know why, shit stirring jock cunt know that. Fucking making it up again.

Wilder win promotion then walk out struggling to see that?

Holdsworth should just be the manager.

Holdsworth should just be the manager

Be careful what you wish for.

Cotterill maybe cv decent and he'd take no shit but he comes across abit old school and can't see him taking to too much interference from above

My Oldham mate recons Cotterills had 2 teams promoted out of league 1 whilst Wilder has never managed at this level

On that basis I'd have to go for SC

Then again my mate recons John Sheridan is decent, Og were 8 adrift when he came in with 1 home win all season, they're now out of the relegation zone with 6 home wins under his belt

Or we swerving ex players?

Iles / BN saying Wilder favourite but Reid/Nolan combo a possibility

Think I'd prefer cotterill over wilder.

Anderson just wants a yes man

Does he? - what are you basing that statement on?

Wilder seems to have done a good job everywhere he has been without lots to spend. Which is a good sign to me. Cotterill is unsavoury and doesn't have such a good record even when he's had quite a bit to spend.

Wilder has done an unreal job at Northampton this season, they were even nearer to the wall than we were. More than fits the bill for "limited budget" experience.

hes had a good 18 months

but nowt much else to excite

may just be a case of right club, right time

it doesnt get my juices flowing but neither did rioch

or allardyce

unless i find out pearson offered to walk to bolton, i'm happy with whoever they pick so long as it precedes a clear out of the ex bolton boys club
