Thanks for banging on about it. We're all eternally grateful for your insight

  • I like how they have voted Chris Powell as their first choice.   Not many clubs can say they have had two black managers in a row.

"We are Wilders wanky Wanderers" has a certain ring to it! Lolz

Lower league, used to managing rather than buying.. will be happy to work on a show string budget..

fits the bill

I like Wilder's brand of football, could he sort our current mess? I predict, not in one season.

Agreed.

We need a right bastard but also someone we don't feel we have to like from the off.

Don't know who the Northampton manager is but I'd go and get him - he's worked miracles there and I think we'd still have the appeal to drag him to us.

Edit - Chris Wilder. His record looks good for the lower leagues.

This would officially be the first time I've been right about anything

Ever

I still think Dowie is an outside chance

may just be a case of right club, right time

Thats the lucky way to sum up a good football manager

They are very few and far between

I can probably count about 5 good ones in my life time (in the whole of english football)

Rest are shite

Nolan made to step down...

I'd have him as a player or coach any day. Not as manager though.

I don't know how you could continue to play in the side when you've been demoted like that?

Especially when your assistant becomes your gaffer

You couldn't could you..

Kevin.. We need you to step down so you can focus guiding the team to promotion.. So your on the bench next match..

Doesn't add up

The poor Cobblers fans have only just cottoned on that we're after their manager. Bless them!

Yeah I've been having a look the past couple of days and was surprised nothing had been said. Quite an a give board to be fair.

I like the debate around whether Bolton is 'arguably a bigger club that Northampton' or not :-)

The urban tiger club in Northampton is a fantastic establishment.

hes had a good 18 months

but nowt much else to excite

may just be a case of right club, right time

it doesnt get my juices flowing but neither did rioch

or allardyce

unless i find out pearson offered to walk to bolton, i'm happy with whoever they pick so long as it precedes a clear out of the ex bolton boys club

what about his 4 trophies in 27 weeks at Alfreton Town?

win percentages look good at 38.5%, 45% and 48.3% at his last 3 clubs

I;m not that excited either, but fuck it, why not

I'm fine with wilder but is he hard enough to sort our shit out doesn't look angry enough to me

I stupidly got excited when the chairman talked about the quality of applications the other day. I was expecting Moyes, Pearson, Curbishley etc.

Can't say I'm overly excited about Wilder - I thought we were learning from previous mistakes and not appointing managers based on one good season with another club (Freedman, Coyle) etc. But if that's who is appointed, he will get my full support.

Whoever is appointed will get my support while we see what they can do. Including BSA. But no other previous manager please.

The bit I don't get is one minute we've got it down from 50 applicants to 3 and next minute we're supposedly approaching people. Appreciate it's all paper talk but I wonder where the truth lies.

Kin ell mate are you stuck in 2012?

We have no money.

We operate at £1 million per month loss.

We will be averaging 11k gates if lucky next season.

We are a league 1 team.

We have no money. In league 1.
