April 24, 201610 yr Why don't we just shut the West and South Upper. That way - if people are desperate for a behind the goal or sidelong view of the game from an elevated position - they can still have it.
April 24, 201610 yr different model than us tho ground sharing with the egg chasing reduces overhead Not by much given the attendances at Huddersfield rugby games.
April 24, 201610 yr id stop going rather than sit in the east lower regularThrough thick or thin Except that?
April 24, 201610 yr Great, shut upper tiers and have us queuing for everything crammed into lower tiers. No half time pies and pints because the queue is too long. Your season tickets with mates in the same seats, tough shit you'll have to split up because we don't have 9 together on the half way line. Let's be right, the cost of opening the top tiers could be budgeted for very easily. Not being precious but why close some of the best seats in the house? It was never a problem when we was getting 25k a week in the Prem. "Cramming" everyone in the lower tiers would improve the atmosphere dramatically. It's already been said, just shut two of them. I'm all for it.
April 24, 201610 yr If folk are being forced to move there should be mo automatic entitlement to renew in other areas staying open Ie somebody relocating from the east upper should have the same entitlement to the best seat in the east lower as the fella who has had it for the last 15 years
April 24, 201610 yr Yep we need to do something to get it going again.I like the idea of better atmospheres just looking at Leicester now they are making the cameras shake

I don't think there will be though
April 24, 201610 yr Look at your mob, lets say they get told they have to move Theres two here, theres one there etc Why should you have to get the pick of whats left?
April 24, 201610 yr Look at your mob, lets say they get told they have to move Theres two here, theres one there etc Why should you have to get the pick of whats left? We have about 1000 Seats to choose from around us all of similar view. Demand won't be an issue me thinks
April 24, 201610 yr Aye i know But if somebody is currently sitting with a dozen others in the 'best seats' east upper, why should he get the best thats left in another stand i think theres plenty good reasons to shut some areas, i just think its likely to alienate folk at a time we cant afford to
April 24, 201610 yr Could we not just close sections of the upper tiers rather than all of it? You could move everyone into two or three central blocks of seating
April 24, 201610 yr Could we not just close sections of the upper tiers rather than all of it? You could move everyone into two or three central blocks of seating Doubt you'd get much saving as you'd still have to open kiosks etc which defeats the point. It's not going to be a move for the cameras or atmosphere, it's down to cash.

Due to circumstances we may have to upset some supporters, however let's also make sure we piss off the rest too. I am sure they keep you a long way from any customers.
April 24, 201610 yr How much is saved by closing stands? Less than if you concentrated on how to fill them.

April 24, 201610 yr How much is saved by closing stands? Fuck all I'd say. I'm not having it that any section of the ground costs more to run than the money it takes in. I'm with Casino. Shut the upper tiers and I'm gone as a season ticket holder. I'll pick and choose my games. Any on TV? Fuck that. Night games? Probably fuck them off too. I'm more than willing to shell out another£400 next season. But if they fuck this up it'll only take a couple of hundred other pissed off season ticket holders for this to bite the club in the arse.
April 24, 201610 yr If we have a good season surely our home support would be better than this season or very least the same I can't see logic in mothballing parts of the ground unless there are big cost savings. Edited April 24, 201610 yr by Mounts Kipper
April 24, 201610 yr If it's all about saving cash then why ,for example, when an away side bring 2000 fans we spread them between the upper and lower south stand tiers when we could just put them all in one or the other? Have we already missed a trick?
April 24, 201610 yr Cost savings roughly £80 a steward X 20 = £1600 Turnstile operators £40 X 8 = £320 Other costs £600 Probably more but can't see the point in closing other than for atmosphere.

So using your rough calculations and my equally rough ones, it'll take just 140-ish disgruntled punters to knock it on the head to make it an absolutely pointless exercise.
