It's the shit we've been served up, plus the non information from the club, plus the blatent non regard of peoples basic rights like being paid on time for the work they have done (or not done in the lazy workshy arrogant case of the players) that is making some think twice about renewing. Cost is less of a concern to the people I go with.

Aye that's my barrier to renewal. Banged on about it before, but a buy-back scheme for up to 6 games a year would work. They don't even need to shell out cash, just take it off next years one, which is what West Ham do. Would even soften the blow for local-based fans  if they insist on not reducing prices from this year. In a long term sense, keeping people buying STs is a must - once you stop having one and then pick and chose then it's a slippery slope. Maybe not if we get a good start and show we can make a go of it. But if we stagnate then you can't blame people for getting really picky about the home games they go to, especially with new grounds to go to away.

They need to sell an entirely different product, as that's what we've got. If they try to sell with everything as it is now, but with League One football, then it's not happening.

Nazi stewards, shit catering, piss poor pre-match and HT entertainment, making you fuck off the moment the final whistle goes, £6 parking, pretty much everything that makes a god awful match day experience, it all needs to change. And this is what I personally want the ST to tackle.

I'm happy to pay what I'm paying now, reductions in ST prices just means we're even more uncompetitive. I do like the part season ticket idea for say 18 games for folk who can't make night games or for those on shift work.

For pay monthly season ticket holders our last payment went out at the beginning of this month. I think they'll spread it over 10 months again next season rather than 12

They could follow bradfords model and slash the prices and attempt to double the sales.

So, for example, we could do something like if the club sells 17.5k season tickets then they'll be £200 each. Would enough people support that deal?

If we were relegated by say a point, with a valiant fight in the last 10 games we may of retained 90% of the st holders. But with the apathy at present I think we'll lose about 2k. The only plus point I can think of is we may just get a few extra quid in through the away turnstiles. More local derbies plus a new ground for quite a few, kerching!!!

Been looking into JPT as I like quirky tournaments (wish Anglo Italian was still going we'd be in that next season!) and I'm guessing we get a first round bye as a newly relegated side then into the North/South divided second round.

 

They're only 1 legged ties though and a group stage format (imagine that!) was done away with. So we may only have 1 game in the tournament to deal with anyway.

Yes the free prem ticket is a good idea. I do like Satan's idea as well as the midweek games are my biggest sway point at the moment.

 

Presume we have a couple of less midweek league games this season because of playing during international breaks and the mid week slots used for JPT? Or are the extra weekends used up by FA cup round 1 and 2?

I think next season is longer anyway with there being no summer tournament on, champions league final isn't till June. I think we'll still have our fair share of midweek games though
