Bent Managers

Manager 1

Ex-Premier League manager allegedly liked “bungs” in cash or deposited in a Swiss bank account. Pagliara said: “I can call [X] now and all it is with [X] is ‘How much, Pino? And will it be the same Swiss bank account?’”

Manager 2

Ex-top flight manager has had “more backhanders than Wimbledon”. Pagliara said: “This is what I hate… the guy that used to need the money but he’s had so much now that all of a sudden he’s whiter than white.”

Manager 3

After managing several British clubs, he was allegedly fired by one for having “his fingers in the till”. Pagliara said he would get involved if “you understand that when we do deals I have to have a carrier bag with some cash.”

Manager 4

Pagliara said of this boss with Premier League experience: “We know him very, very well. We do a transfer, [X] has winked at us and said ‘Yeah, I want the player. Is there a little coffee for me, Pino?’ Yeah, course there is.”

Manager 5

Ex-Premier League manager who, said Pagliara, would call him and say “here’s the number”, and give him details of a Swiss account. He said: “It was always numbered accounts.”

Manager 6

A former player who now manages, he allegedly likes extra money to secure deals because he is not on a big salary at his club. Pagliara said: “[X] takes a few [inaudible] because he’s not being paid big money.”

Manager 7

Ex-Premier League manager is another “we can put on the payroll”. If a player was transferred for £10m, “we’ll turn round to [X] and say, listen, if you take this player we’ll look after you. OK? OK, boom.”

Manager 8

Agent Dax Price said this long-serving manager would pick three trusted players and tell them he was paying them an extra £8,000 per month, on condition that they paid him £4,000 per month each.

Megson.

Megson.

To grant him supreme cunt status.

Makes you wonder how many of the "interested parties" when Eddie Davies was trying to flog the club were actually Telegraph journalists wearing fake beards.

I take it everything apart from the Allardyce story was bollocks then?

They just wanted rid of the walrus?

Jimmy Floyd Hasslefreebanking

Leeds owners bent??

Who'd have thunk it.

And is the assistant manager of Barnsley really front page news? The blokes probably on about £500 a week ffs

which is probably why they went with the Alladyce "expose" first

imagine if they have actual evidence against all 8 managers, and none of them are really that high profile or "important"

and after exposing them, they then say "we've also got alladyce talking on video, but not actually do anything" the impact would've been far less, and he may still have a job

:-)

What exactly is the sting with Hasslebank?

We will pay you to give a speech... Erm ok

Can you look at some of the players we have on our books? Erm ok but only if they are good ones

Where is the story?

You can also imagine after 8 months undercover investigation they were struggling for the story.

Sam makes the headlines for them.

But the underlying impression I have is that there is no end of money flying about behind the scenes and once you start to think the game is corrupt you have to think why would it stop at player/managers/owners, how about officials ?

Happened in basketball, why not in football ?

The latest sting really is a big one, Leeds owner offers someone a piece of the club to circumvent 3rd party ownership rules

Jesus Christ

Might be just me but I think that as soon as they own a club they wont actually be a third party

The Telegraph are making a huge meal over very little at all with this, embarrassing journalism

Redknapp at Bournemouth
Redknapp at West Ham
Redknapp at Portsmouth (1st time)
Redknapp at Southampton
Redknapp at Portsmouth (2nd time)
Redknapp at Spurs
Redknapp at QPR
Redknapp at Jordan

i heard from an ex player a few years ago that harry was involved in situations like number 8 quite a few times.

no idea if it was bullshit, no reason to think it was.

His dog has a Swiss bank account. Perfectly normal.

Former premier league manager, Steve Kean?

Officals get paid about £2k per game

You're not telling me some Chinese betting sydicates haven't got their hands all over them.

If I had 22 millionaires calling me a cunt every week in exchange for a 100th of what they get paid, I'd be happy to fuck them over for a suitcase full of cash.

Just don't get caught.

2k for one game!

Kinell, think I might take up refereeing.

Pocket a few grand for a seasons work then snot some arrogant twat player for swearing in your face.

Do they have actual evidence yet or is it still bloke down the pub stuff?

Seems to be just that. But I have the right to be outraged if it's any dmbs :)

I reckon they'll release them in order of "excitement"  -  it's the way to keep the papers sale high.

Start of with a massive one (England Manager) and then start at the bottom of the list and work your way up in order to build up the frenzy - there will be bigger and bigger names released every couple of days from now, so they get maximum exposure/coverage/sales
