Need osede spearing back fit and playing asap. We are going nowhere with that starting mid 3 today. And then pratley in wit those two when fit

Apart from Wheater and Beevers (Ameobi did OK 2nd half and so did Trotter) they were all shit today - Vela, Clough, Wilson and Chris Taylor were bobbins

Crap that, didn't match their intensity early on, took an hour to wake up but still nowhere near enough tempo to worry their defence. Too little movement, too many times people receiving and giving it stood still, too many sideways and backwards balls.

Bit better last 20 mins but final ball / cross poor, lack of composure when we did get an odd sniff.

We're good enough defensively to stay in games if we go behind but we just don't threaten and create enough.

Not a good day but fair play to them, decent, young, lively side with some talented lads going forward

Madine was utter gash didn't win anything, the ameobi substitutions was unbelievable and Chris Taylor is the worst I've seen in a Bolton shirt for a long time, but the biggest mystery is Derek, if he's not fit then he shouldn't be on the bench. Might has well put mark Davies on the bench. Trotter had a good game the other week but there is no consistency with him and bloody hell he's slow, anyway 2 home games to bounce back.

Have to agree on Chris Taylor.

Alnwick looks a bit of a liability.

How many time did Wilson give away possession cheaply?

That really was shit and commiserations to all those who travelled. You deserved a better performance than that.

Poor all round performance. The midfield without Spearing look pedestrianised. I know I don't like the man anyway but Trotter is woeful.

Time to try and get Clayton back and I would have liked to see Derik play instead of Trotter too.

Peterbrough has usually been a tough ground to go too even when they've been crap but we should have been far busier than we were

The most troubled I have seen wheaten and beavers before today was against MK

They had mobile front men

Same today with Peterborough

Fortunately pacy strikers aren't found in abundance in this league

Without that pressing and midfield cover that was always likely. Have to be more effective in midfield.

We should have equalised with the chances in the last quarter; plus it was a nailed on penalty that got turned down

Why does it take so long to wake up

Alnwick should have saved but it was a good effort so I am not blaming him fully; Taylor fell asleep to give him the chance in the first place

There's still time for a JT hat trick.

Bloody hell, I was there, ont travel club.

Think it was 4-1, Jan 88.

Those were the days.

4-0 if memory serves me right

Just watching Chesterfield v Sheff U, big obvious difference is pace of the game, loads on this pitch buzzing around making space and showing, looking to give it and go, we'd too many who didn't work hard enough to move them about and too many who were happy to give it and stand still. We played one decent one-two in the game.

Started the game far too slow and let them dominate.

Thought keeper should've saved their goal.

Second half was a bit better and Clough and Taylor should've done better.

Anyone based in the north west who did this and Cheltenham are either mental or divorced.

Thinly veiled 'my Mrs only lets me go to the bottom of the drive to put the bins out'*

*I'm a ginger & should be greatful a female of the species let me procreate with her! :)

Cap doffed to one and all

You're welcome

You can buy me a beer when we meet next :)

This is why you should try 100% to win even the cup games, a loss in any competition disrupts that winning mentality.

Today was pathetic. I need to stop getting up for these 4.15am games.

Boohoo! :(

So Scunthorpe and Vradford win and we do that?!?!?! thanks a lot goalkeeper

Rubbish throughout summed up by that Taylor who came on.

Do us all a favour

The offer is always there pal :)

Been pondering this afternoon since the game (dangerous, I know) but I don't think we've been unlucky in any of the games we've lost, we got what we deserved.

In all games, the intensity wasn't there. I know it's nigh on impossible to play full throttle for 46 games but we need to find a way of winning games when plan A isn't working.

This isn't in any way a criticism, more an observation or question if you like, but does PP have a plan B or allow players to try and figure out a plan B or is he regimented in following the script?

I still think we'll be fine and in the top 6 by the end, just hope we find enough to get in the top 2. A bloody long way to go, teams will drop points all around us, we need to be in a position to take advantage

Couldn't watch it today but looks like I didn't miss much - hopefully just a curse of MoM award.  Never saw us getting much out of today tbf

Chris Taylor:

Brings nothing, absolutely nothing.

Weak, cowardly, charlatan . Booed off at Rochdale and gave fans the eyes!

Yet he still is given decent game time?

We had a bad day today, seemed to regress several weeks. But we have had a good run and need to sharpen up again. Unfortunate with injuries to key players too.

C.taylor has had his chance.

He's not shown much today.

That said he was only given around as many minutes as it took Trotter to touch the ball.

Fuck it. See what the next few games bring eh? Five wins from the next six will do me.

Some thoughts......-.when we go behind . our lack of guile or invention will make it hard for us to break teams down.

- Howard would probably have saved the goal & if he's out for a while, that could be the biggest loss of the day

-Ameobi has got better in his time with us. but was awful today with no end product at all ( similar to Sterling for England )

-no centre forward could do anything when he's as isolated as Madine was 1st half & we improved quite a bit when he got some support.

-Thorpe for Derik was an odd selection ( i'm guessing Derik wasn't fully fit ) & but hope that Derik replaces him next week.

Never mind....we're not going to win every week !!
