Back to the madine bashing is it again

Shit performance against one of the form teams in the division, still only conceded one and keeper should have done better.

Usual doom and gloom merchants piping their usual nonsense.

Onwards and upwards.

How shit a commentator is Gary Birtles ?

And Palmer - who is this Maydine

My lofty position at the Macron must be deceiving. Being up close yesterday left me in no doubt just how shit Madine is.

The timings of his jumps were laughable. There was one throw in into the box, he jumped as the ball left the full back's hands and was back on the deck before the ball arrived.

I wondered if he was saying "may be". As in will he score one day?- may be.

Back to the madine bashing is it again

In fairness he may be better than Proctor, but that's like being given the option; "what do you want to eat- a bowl of vomit or a bowl of spunk".

For me we've been winning inspite of him. Yes he's been a better than last year, but his control and use of the ball is woeful. Clough has set him up on a number of occasions recently and he rarely even gets a shot away.

Which did you choose? a bowl of vomit or a bowl of spunk?

It would depend on whose it is, surely?

and if it's still "body temperature" or if it's been heated up

Vomit- don't mind carrots in casseroles.

It'd probably just taste like lobby.

Does heating it up make it curdle?

I know a bloke that once left his post pub kebab on the radiator over night to "keep it warm" til he could finish it in the morning

Madine seems incapable of getting his shot away when he's in front of goal . Can't think of anybody who was less of a threat In the opposing box .

Hopefully yesterday was just one of those days.

This Saturday is now a tough game against one of the more fancied teams pre-season and who are in good form. If we fail to win that, then i will have concerns that this team seems to go on runs - good or bad, which is not conducive to a strong mentality/belief IMO.

However 5 out of the next 7 are at home which takes us into 2017, and 3 of those should be comfortable wins (Cov, Gills and Shrews). The aways are both winnable too.

We should therefore go into the NY comfortably in the Top 6.

If we aren't then i will be worried.

We need to go up this year. If we don't then I fear a significantly weaker first team and squad next year and lower crowds etc.

Really don't see us as automatic promotion contenders despite our excellent centrebacks .Our

main rivals Scunny & Sheff U bang goals in for fun they have course & distance goalscorers in their teams(Sharpe & Maddon for example)

Maybe the Jan transfer window will change things

But right now I'd take a play-off place .

Madine and Proctor have 3 league goals between them, we ain't going up with them 2 imo

Have scunny or Sheff U had a bad spell yet?

They'll have a wobble at some point surely.

Sheff Utd started badly

Sheff Utd had a bad start Scunthorpe have not really had a bad run apart from losing to Oldham & dropping home points to the  better teams . They haven't had too many injuries either....but goal difference is good indicator of ability & they score a lot more goals than we do & the games they win they do so by bigger margins.

Comparing our current team with the promotion winners from this division of yesteryear isn't easy but both previous teams (1971 & 1991 ?) were better imo.
