  • When we beat them at the beginning of the season, I predicted that it would prove to be an important result.   Whilst I share your sentiment about the Cup being meaningless to us and the league mean

  • I'd love a cup run. Winning breeds confidence

It's tragic how low the FA cup is on fans radars makes me weep as I love the competition and wish it could go back to what it was.

Enjoyed that 2nd half

We didn't keep the ball very well today but when we click it's great to watch

Andrew Taylor played v well again for me. Madine gave a decent account of himself but I wish he wouldn't stop short when chasing defenders.

Alnwick seemed a bit more confident today, took some good catches from crosses

Happy with that. Somewhere obscure, away, with decent rail links please

Is the draw tomo night?

Yep 19:10

Yep 7.10, I presume on the One show. Think we are ball 49

Lovely

As was Roxanne Pallett in the LOV today

As for Cheggers, the least said the better

Enjoyed that, good game between two good teams, couple of great goals from us, good number of chances made and taken from not much possession.

We kept giving them a sniff when looking like we'd finished them off, though they were a bit fortunate with the first, without deflection Alnwick would have had it.

Madine, Vela and Clough as a front three were too good for them. Ameobi's goal was a real stunner, otherwise a mixed bag from him today.

Hope there's just reward for throwing a full strength team at it today with a money making draw tomorrow

I thought ameobi was very good

Very rarely lost it, keeps possession and draws plenty fouls

Old whisky nose started the rot years ago fielding weak teams

..and he decided to pull out completely one season.

Apart from his first 5 passes which were all given away :D

4 of them in the first 5 minutes

Who will we draw then.

Still sticking with Newcastle away.

Sun was in my eyes

You should of used your voucher to shield your eyes

Happy with that , Vela was my man of match , 3 well taken goals , poor defending for their second , Wheater goal was in Cy1tiMHWgAE3YmB.jpg

KA says he wants Munichs at home get a draw then beat them at OT  ........That would do  :good:

Sun was in my eyes

There's times when he's really poor

But then he's untouchable when he's good, so if he didn't have those bad moments he'd be playing top tier and not for us

So he'll do for me right now.

I'd just like him to "show" a bit more away from home

This.

Would be a top day out.

Know the place very well.

Tough town.

If not a home tie against PL giant will possibly be televised. The cash would be nice.

If we draw Barrow at home, they would bring about 10k fans, big day out for them.

bbc2

BT Sport showing it live as well

Financially, home tie v big Prem side would be great, could bring dosh in pivotal to keeping squad together. Otherwise, a good day out to a big club not too far afield and not with a shit kick off time

Good game. They were poor at the back.cant complain about much about our current form and results.

However one thing puzzles me; What does PP see in chris Taylor. I've seen enough of him to know that he is good at nothing. He hides and is a coward.yet he is a regular 1st choice sub.

Working till 2330 tomorrow, ill tape it and try to keep the draw secret till i get back, harder than it sounds!

We shouldn't underestimate our achievements so far.

Terrible injuries, Mavies and Pratley (back soon?), keeper etc...

Well done to PP and the boys.

Fingers crossed we can keep it up......

I agree, but we're stuck with him, his confidence must be shot to bits, his first touch today was a misplaced header, and you could hear a collective sigh around the ground. Surely he can offer something, Enzo Gambarro was telling me today that he remembers him being a thorn in our side at Blackburn.

Entertaining game today, great to see Wheater back, I'd shift Derik into midfield now instead of Thorpe personally.

I asked Iles this week (I know, I know) about Pratley - reckons he's back at the end of this month

Would you play him though. If so who goes out?
