I will accept no argument on this. Bat out of hell and everything that followed from this songwriting team is the worst music ever recorded. Fucking hideous stuff that makes the skin crawl. Awful awful awful. ABSOBLOODYEXACTLY Dross, all of it, torch every recording.
Not in Crawley
Nah, bat out of hell is great. The original video from the late 70s is fab. Mind you, some people round here like Rush (what about the voice of Geddy Lee? How Did it get so high? I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy?) There's a band that no amount of listening to gets better.

It’s absolute toilet, the audacity of his releasing it about 5 times just pisses me off even more

emus wig
A lot of early Rush is massively influenced by the writing of Ayn Rand which I’m not keen on but Farewell to king onwards most of it is fantastic. Meat loaf ? You must be on a wind up .

Not in Crawley
Beats are to service the song for me, not to say they can't be the best part of the song, or the main part, and loads of people love Rush, just doesn't do anything for me personally. But I will sneer at Stereophonics fans (well, I won't but had there been a more boring band in the history orf music - rather listen to Red Nex)

Coldplay 4. Rush 5. U2 Honourable mention to Elbow 1) Queen - I agree, totally overrated. Terrible band. 2) Radiohead - push what a band can do, you might not like every album and they do push it a bit but that is why they are important. 3) Coldplay - Yes rubbish, but so good at writing pop rock songs so fair play, I wish I was that rubbish 4) Rush - Musos love them, I've tried, but cant get it 5) U2 - Easy to take the piss out of, but have written some great songs. Never do lists. As for Eblow - personally I cant stand them - a band in search of a song, but being famous in music is a lot to do with timings and they are one of the lucky ones. Not in Crawley
Ooh didn't get the universal job, got down to the last three (ie i was third) so apparently I was the most creative and strategic but I didn't have the digital media chops. So I've signed up to a digital media course so I can add this.
