Members bolty58
Bringing it back to reality - Pele, Argentina and the Dictators on BBC1 last night. Great viewing. So that was their secret behind the 1970 World Cup win. Also enjoyed Monaco - Playground of the rich on BBC2. I know many of us would like to give it a go for a couple of months but what a bunch of vacuous twatspatula's. You need something to aim for in life. When you have it all with much more on top, what's the point? That Bacardi heiress is an utter fruitcake. So much silicone probably be like porking a blow up doll. You still would though. I've stayed in the le meridien beach plaza for a couple of weeks, private beach, did the casino, cafe de paris. Went to rothchilds villa near nice, helicopter tour of the bay, all that shizzle. To be honest I was bored after a couple of days. It's tiny, full of old posers, and there's fuck all to do, the shops are shite for blokes, there's nowhere to buy a bag of crisps or a can of coke from, you have to go into a hotel bar for most stuff. Ended up going into France after a few days. Had more fun in lanzarote. Good for a day trip or couple of days. It was probably 20 years ago when i went so it may be better now, but when I watched one episode of the TV show it looked pretty much the same - some of the tables in the casino are bonkers, if you walk to the back of the building they have tables and private rooms where the minimum bet entry rises - there were guys playing with 25K chips on one of the tables I watched. I could watch in depth World Cup documentaries for hours on end, every one of them is such a huge global, cultural, historical event in their own way. Nothing else like it. Agreed (with Peelyfeet too). Besides that save from Banksy, moments of pure magic in high definition from Pele (that dummy on the goalkeeper which should have produced a goal for its sheer audacity) and other memorable moments like Clodoaldos fuck up resulting in Boninsegnas goal. That was some World Cup when you factor in all which England went through with Bobby Moore and the gold bracelet; crowds making noise all night outside England hotels trying to stop our players sleeping; that game v Germany etc. Anyway, I always console myself with the fact that a bunch of lads with connections to Bromwich Street won the World Cup in 1970. One day I can only hope that HBO will come to their senses and grant me the cancellation I so richly deserve.” –Larry David 😁😁
