  • Ah, those lads who wanted their country back , upset by foreigners who came over on boats pinching  all the houses and land and changing the native culture and not assimilating into it.  thought you

  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

Really does sound like a pan BBC cull, then. Going to be a whole load of news anchors moping about with nothing to do shortly.

Random question, if anyone has watched the half 6 local news up there tonight are there a few of the presenters finishing up? 3 or 4 of the East Midlands lot finishing today, apparently BBC local news going down to a single presenter from now on.

Read something on this a while back

Think all the regions have been impacted

BBC under a lot of pressure to cut their cloth from the current administration (who aren’t very keen on them as a whole)

Yes. I thought it was strange that 2 excellent, local reporters of over 20 year- Wanderers' fan Stuart Flinders & chief reporter Dave Guest -  both 'retired' from BBC's Look North West this week.

My cousin, years ago, dated Dave Guest's daughter, met him at my cousin's 21st, lovely bloke

its awful whats happening to local radio...be london this, london that bollocks soon

I fall asleep listening to beswick 5 nights a week

Think hes going soon

Hooe he does a web show

Top Gear.... Brilliant this series.

The section they've done on Sterling Moss tonight was brilliant.

Been in the back of beyond for a few days. Boiling fucking hot and watching the AFL grand final is a small plastic moulded donga on a small TV. Thank fuck they had cold beer.

Got back yesterday and finally got into a few episodes of Zero, Zero, Zero - this time with English subtitles which weren't cropped half way up. Fucking brilliant!

I didn't know that Dave Guest had gone too. Flinders was quick, here today, gone tomorrow.

Harry Gration gone from the other side of the pennines last week as well.

Brilliant documentary about Laurie Cunningham on ITV loved it .

Barbarians on Netflix watched episodes 1 & 2. Very good.

South Park Pandemic Special is good

Don't think it's been mentioned before but Bojack Horseman on Netflix is one of the best shows I've ever watched.

It's a cartoon which is probably a turn-off for some but it's not the standard Family Guy/Simpsons style.

Does have some of those elements but also has a really dark side to it that explores depression, alcoholism, mental health and many other big issues. Very original. 20 min episodes and if you can get through the first season I think you'll be hooked.

A masterpiece

I've seen the first 2 of Berlin 1945.  Some incredible and harrowing footage in that, that I've never seen before.
