  • Ah, those lads who wanted their country back , upset by foreigners who came over on boats pinching  all the houses and land and changing the native culture and not assimilating into it.  thought you

  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

I reckon manhunt on itv is the best thing they’ve done since Broadchurch

Is that the one with the jug-eared lad in it, does he not ruin it?

Martin Clunes? He’s surprisingly brilliant in it

Even if plenty ‘knew’ after the event, there were still a lot who knew and were openly speaking about it in hushed tones.

Imagine Jimmy Saville being spoken about in noncey  accusations and the BBC decide they’ll give him a prime time TV show involving kids writing in to have their wishes fulfilled.

Saville was a national institution in the 70s Lydon was a hate figure to the establishment.  Can you imagine Lydon being believed over Saville at the time ?

Imagine the Government making him a Knight of the realm. Imagine St James hospital, Stoke Mandeville and Broadmoor all allowing him keys and free access to all the patients.  It beggars belief but it suggests to me, there were very few noncey suggestions floating around at the time.

I’ve not finished it yet but it’s gripping tv. I was shouting at the tv. More than usual. I’d be great on gogglebox in my boxers and string vest

Watched Manhunt and then followed up Susannah Reid interviewing the ex-cop who had been portrayed by Clunes. The real-life version was created quite well with very little overly dramatic bits.

I'm going to watch but doing series 1 first

Clunes is a proper good actor

Need a good series to watch chaps as I am all out of things to watch currently. I’ve done all the usual ones so if anyone has any good recommendations , that can live In the same company as the Shield and Bosch, please let me have them.

What's that about?

It’s about a swarthy gentleman who presses his party gland up against young women enjoying a night out.

Its the length of his entire leg, hence the name.

Have you done Manhunter on Netflix, only a couple of series and would get you through while you're choosing a longer one.

Lots recommend that Mad Men but I've never watched it myself.

No not seen manhunter. Will give it a look out. Cheers Ernest

Just realised it's called Mindhunter not Manhunter 🙄

I’ve just been searching for it and was about to ask 👍🏼

Homeland is superb, providing you can suppress the over-riding urge to want to kick the lead actress in the cunt. Think of how annoying Skyler is in Breaking bad and multiply it by the price of a hipster pint.

There’s a really sad moment at one stage with her and it’s supposed to generate a lot of sympathy but Jesus I laughed my arse off

Agree that Homeland is superb
