  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

Might not be a popular one this but I think Gone Fishing might have run its course now.

Feels like they've asked Bob to wind it in a bit and it's worse off as a result.

Still elite level telly though

Turning Point 9/11 & The War on Terror. Good watch. No surprises that the entire Afghan war has been almost totally pointless. And counter productive.

Pretty much what I thought. Still good but can’t really see another series having any appeal

People who decide to go with it dubbed definitely need to go on some sort of list

I said the same watching the episode a couple of weeks back, there's not so much of their life discussions anymore I don't think. Lost its endearing shine a bit, for me.

Its still nice to watch and the locations still do Britain proud (BBC loves a drone shot!) but maybe it should be wrapped up soon. The good thing is, I feel like these two won't labour it if they feel like it's losing its appeal they'll just stop.

Filming around here today

Think its top gear

Theyll have had to get permission from @tomski

Hardy mill, i think

They've replaced Steve Coogan...

Apparently shooting in The Arndale, doubling as BBC Television Centre for Top of the Pops.

Oooh I’ll have a watch of that. I used to have a poster from when they played at Reading

They played Bradford Uni in my first term there. Nigh on 30 years, think I'm getting on.

Have to stress I wasn’t there at reading I just liked the poster when I went to Paris in 2008 😁

@Zico Nirvana - Nevermind Classic Albums is on iplayer as well.
I would have preferred a doc on In Utero but hey Ho

I was never fully into Nirvana at the time

was only 12 when Bleach came out and 14 with Nevermind

my eldest brother and his mates were into them, but I always made a point of not liking what he liked, because he didn't half like some shit like Prefab Sprout and Deacon Blue

don't mind giving them a listen now, but can't claim to have ever been a fan before he topped himself

"I swear I don't have a gun"

lying bastard

there was a documentary that came out a few years ago, "Montage of Heck", that was really good too, they had loads of self filmed camcorder footage, like him and Courtney Love off their tits chatting shit and dicking about

one Nirvana memory from the time though, watching the MTV awards in 1992 where they performed

they wanted to sing Rape Me

MTV said under no circumstances are you singing a song called Rape Me live on MTV

there's also there TOTP appearance when they were told to mime but came to an agreement that they'd pretend to play the instruments but could sing live

I won't spoil it for you as that's on the documentary

I was late to the party with Nirvana I was purely into hip hop then in high school the black kids and goth kids almost United in a symbol of world peace over a mutual interest of nu-metal

Dont get me wrong nu-metal is utter guff but rock and rap complimented each other , but for every wu tang clan I recommend one of the little cheery bastards there was a rage against the machine tune  they told me to try

oh you like NWA try sex pistols, cypress hill here’s Nirvana

Quite similar genres really

aye, my first muscial genre i got into was funk metal - Faith No More, RATM, RHCP, Primus etc - suppose it's as near to rap with guitars as you'll get, other than Beastie Boys

Saw a double headliner of RATM & Wu Tang Clan, who used the band of RATM to be their band for the set.
It was like a ska audience in the 70/80s 😂

Enjoyed Squid
