  • Ah, those lads who wanted their country back , upset by foreigners who came over on boats pinching  all the houses and land and changing the native culture and not assimilating into it.  thought you

  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

Hope folk are getting round to watching the new series of The Detectorists? Think the first series went under the radar a bit but it’s brilliantly written. Well worth it.

Other than that second series of the A Word has been worth it for Christopher Eccleston alone and Motherland starring Kerseley’s very own Diane Morgan and written by Graham Linehan is excellent. BBC puttting Netflix to shame in our house at the moment.

Having said that I’m addicted to that channel 4 programme on B&B - four in a bed. It’s genius, Coogan or Iannucci couldn’t have written better!

detectorists got my attention for about the first three episodes

didnt get it

so it was back to laurel and hardy

the dectorists was alright

think it may have sparked a come back for actual detectoring

heard the number of finds was well up in 2017 including an anglo saxon gold chain worth 175k

Awww, I love it - proper subtle, the car 'chase' last week was brilliant.

New walking dead seriously losing me.

Same here, dragging it out for far too long now

Its been doing that since about series three

This Bancroft four nighter which started last night? Obviously fine views of the Town Hall and Le Mans Crescent in the opening credits etc.

Any of it filmed around Bolton?

Have a look in the soaps thread. There's a link to where it was filmed

Grassy arse amigo. I wouldn't normally go in there as Corrie, Neighbours, Home & Away, Emmerdale etc. do my fucking head in.

Anyone into or watched American Horror Story?

I'm three episodes in and genuinely can't decide if its utter pissfroth or genius.

Either way the maid keeps things interesting!!

I started, stopped, had another look and decided it was just a bit biz.  Bar the threesome scene with madame muck and her mate (above) which there's Porn Hub for and I don't have to sit through an our of bilge to get a semi.

I thought this season was the best for a while and faster paced than usual.

I watched the first two Fear the Walking Dead episodes t'other night.  I'm thinking it's possibly better?

This walking dead series has just been one big gun fight and now at the end of its pretty much as you were at the start of it

Something big / interesting needs to happen quickly in the next series or I'll end up stopping watching it again

Never watched Fear The Walking Dead  -  I might start watching if it's better than Walking Dead

Different, more realistic and character based from what I've seen.  It'sfollowing a family but it starts right at the onset of it all rather than how ever many months later like in the TWD.

Morgan's character is going to be on FTWD and I heard a rumour that the plan is to merge them both down the line, and that the family in question may well turn out to be the new bad guys on TWD - could well be bollox though.

I don't religiously read the comics (honest!) but keep up with what's going on.

The TV show seems to follow them fairly closely with some changes here and there.

Currently, there is what looks like a new government type group coming into it which would make it very interesting - it needs that kind of shift for me to keep things real.   There are only so many tins of beans one can forage . . .

Going off what happened in the last episode I wonder if the TV show may jump ahead in relation to the comics?

Not sure what happens now with Carl and the most interesting part as been that helicopter a few episodes back.

.

it's fairly obvious I would have thought  -  he's also apparently not contracted to appear in any more episodes, so I'm not even sure that we'll see him get bumped off, sadly. I'm glad he's going out of it, the irritating little shitbag. I was hoping that he was going to be some sort of sacrificial lamb, and get his brains beaten out by Negan (well....Lucille to be precise)

Its too becomes rather boring... Though its a new story of sorts at least.

WD was brilliant for 3 or 4 seasons, then they seemed to change to the pace. The story became more drawn out and entire episode began to drift nowhere.

From series five onwards its been a fucking bore fest. Negan shook it up but his shtick soon became boring.

I fucked it off last season and won't be bothering again. By the end of that gun show the season ended exactly as it did the year previous.

FTWD is worth watching in my opinion, think it gets harsh reviews at times.

I thought the last series was the best so far, some unexpected twists.

Different, more realistic

So not about zombies then?

Have you been to the Trafford centre or Market St this time of year?

Aye.  That's what I think may lead to the new group.

Never been in but it looked like the bit with the old codger copper in his wheelchair when he first appeared was the Bolton golf club on chorley new road.

Any road, I'm finding it a bit bizz and I usually like stuff like this.

Witnesses on iPlayer is very good.
